I was really excited about this not only because the setup was good but because I like the company. IT was just a good feeling. And it was moving. I did not set a pending order as the box was big. I remember I was talking to ZED and thought this is a good investment and lets buy it. Went in half and then was going to go in half on the box break but forgot.

It was a simple trade. The weekly chart is in a strong up trend. The daily chart has a lovely setup 1. Took it without any reservation or hesitation. Still in this trade as of 17 Feb.

B1T7 - ESRT Long D1

Comments:
Entry was taken based on a beautiful setup 1 on D1 chart
but the Weekly chart is still bearish.
It has touched the purple and bounced off it
on D1 price has touched D1 levels to the left
Stop-loss is at BE
I had another position taken at 10.08 but closed it BE on a SL to BE move. I am not keen on adding on. Will not add on and will not take half off.

B1T8 - INFN D1 Long

Unread post by immy »

When I first saw this trade, I was excited to see the weekly chart and the daily clean setup 1

However, after it triggered, the price went down up and own on the same day. I held on to this one for a long time.

I don't want to exit a trade unless it hits the low of wave 4, that's where my stop loss should be.

Now the price has gone back up. Not a big profit yet but hoping it will break the box high and test the Wave 3 highs.

B1T9 - WORK (Disappointed)

Unread post by immy »

1. Trade: B1T9
2. Symbol/TF: WORK D1
3. Signal Type: S1 Long
4. Date:  25 Jan 2021
5. P&L: A disappointing Loss due to lack of discipline
6. DS for this trade: BIG FAT ZERO
7. DS Total:
8. Comments and Pictures
I saw a very strong move on the weekly chart. Now that can be classed as parabolic and often stocks don't recover from it

But with Slack, we know that it has been a year of tech stocks and the spike was due to SalesForce, a big company, who bought Slack. market took that as a good news.

I took the position and you can hear me saying this in the video, that I wanted to hold this on a weekly chart. That it was a longer term investment

Yet, when it was chugging along sideways and got impatient and lost discipline.

I move SL to trailing candles on the  8th of Feb and was stopped out on the 10th. Today the 17th of Feb price is at 44.57.
Emotions;
Upset,
Disappointed,
Angry,
Cringe in my tummy
Sad,
but hopeful

B1T10-B1T17

Unread post by immy »

Hi

What a great disappointment. I blow the trumpet of keeping a journal yet, I have just checked this journal and am yet to update 8 trades.
However, I do have my private journal and I have made plenty of videos where I discussed this stuff. But still, that is no excuse. I should keep each trade as a separate post here.

For now, though I will share a screenshot of the journal
Journal Screenshot.png
The Current Trade is WBA ... Its hit a level where I can now move SL to BE. It's gone strong.

WBA Closing Real Strong for the WEEK... went from 48 to 53 in 3 days... nice SL to BE...
(copy pasting from discord)
My Stocks are going exactly the same way... @vickyp just like your batches of T20 and @Emma your batches and anyone else who kept a good record.

Roughly  50% winners but should have been 70% had not messed up 3 of them

he Batch is BE so far (because I messed up profits) ...

and hence here comes the importance of Discipline...

The First, 3 trades were losers
1. CBRE and
2. GAB were easily 2R winners (I turned them into small losers (being clever that I am)

3. APHA was DS0 Trade taken on h1 (my plan does not include trading H1 time frame)
4. OHI a Small winner DIS: a good 2R winner but I only got 1R... (wrong position Side)
5. INFU: a small winner
6. ESRT: a BE (was a legit 2R winner)
7. INFN small loss (20 quid)
8. WORK small loss (this was not really an awesome one)
8. OCUL full 1R loss
9. HON full 1R loss (risked 0.5% per trade)
10. VALE: small loss (0.5R Loss)
11. ESI BE (was a legit 2R winner)
12. OII a Legit 2R winner

That's it... I am just like anyone else. Idiot trades, idiot mistakes and good trades and awesome ones.
OII and Disney were my best trades. Great Catches. CBRE and GAB were both supposedly awesome. APHA went up 8 times over after I exited. Oh well...
ESRT was a legit 2R winner I got BE because of SL move too tight.
ESI gave me a tough time, so I moved to BE at the first instance it recovered, and then it went flying past my 2R.
So that is LEGIT 8R that's 8% profit given away. OMG. what heck am I doing.

Wish me, well people! I'm breaking my own rules. I'm doing what I never do in my day trading accounts. (or perhaps I do and that is just the way I trade... oh well)

My Target for NEXT batch is 100% Discipline. Yes 100% No hanky panky.
