A special Note to NEwbies!
If you really want to back test. Use the above analysis on your charts and compare against each dot on a daily basis.
Your new entry alert v5, has an option to show you vertical lines and time stamp for backtesting. Using these features you can see each dot and compare what Grant thought at that time in REAL TIME. This is really valuable resource.
I urge you to compare these notes against each dot on a daily basis. This can really really help boost your learning process.
cheers
Immy
ps: a bundle of thanks and gratitude to you Gman!

Hi everyone,
Is January over yet….. Better result today but still not enjoying this choppy sideways crap. Trade 1 was a tad fortunate but otherwise a solid day entries wise… Exits as always need some work.
Todays trades were :
1. +11
2. +1.4
3. +3
4. -3.7
Total +11.7 (+0.9%)
Trades PDF below
Cheers

Re: Grants Journal
Hi Grant
Many thanks for posting your spreadsheet!
I had a short order trigger at 0831. You say that M5 was too close after the signal on the 08:23 candle. As far as I can see, the next M1 AIMS level forms at the close of the 08.27 candle
M1 AIMS level forms at 1.31524
M5 AIMS level at this point is at 1.31455
Is that too close (6.9) or am I looking in the wrong places??
Also! (Sorry!) On the 10.06 candle you say "AO already diverged". I can see that the AO previously hit a low around 09.15, but it has turned green briefly since. What would it take to "reset" the AO if you see what I mean...?

Re: Grants Journal
HI Bobby,
The m5 too close relates to where the PO is not the m1 AIMS level, so in this case the PO level was 1.3150 (under m1 AIMS 1.31524) which is within 5 pips of the m5 level at 1.31455.. So i always measure from the potential PO to the m5 level.
As to the divergence i have attached a pic where you can see that price had made a lower low but the AO had made a higher low thus creating a perfect regular divergence which tells me that there is a full 1-5 waves complete. In order for it to reset i want to see a sustained break the opposite side of the 0 line rather than just 4/5 bars. if it coincides with a retest of the purple line then it makes it more of a reset. You can see on the chart i have p[laced a vertical line at the start of the next cross of 0 line up. This would be enough to reset AO. You can even see where i took the next trade as the arrows are still on the chart.....
Hope this helps
Grant

Re: Grants Journal
Hi Bobby and Grant,
many thanks for the question and the answer : The 'reset' of A0 is something I was already guessing around for a while. Makes it quite clear, great !
