Banana 1H
ADA-USD LONG
Testing the waters with an account.
Connected a Pepperstone Demo account to Tradingview. Let's see how it is to actually trade via Tradingview.
Consiously broken rules, so DS 0.
The 7 questions answered:
There is 1 impulse candle up. That's not how it should be, you want 2 or 3 candles with little to no wicks. => DS 0
The pullback is good, 2 candles.
That impulse move is not climactic for a crypto.
The pullback is not impulsive.
This is the third pullback. Ideally you'd want the 1st or 2nd pullback. => DS 0
No levels to the left within last 20 bars.
Banana signals marked with a pink dot. Confirmed by Banana indicator in MT4.
Target = 3R.
Let's see what happens.....
DS0 because of violating the rules.

Result is getting stopped out. Not a surprise.
Good news is that it works trading Pepperstone via TradingView.

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
Batch 2 - T13
24-3-2022
Banana 1H
AUD-USD LONG
On the Pepperstone Demo account via Tradingview.
The 7 questions answered:
1 - Is there a breakout with a higher high or lower low?
Breakout of a trading range, indicated with pink rectangle.
2 - Is there a good pullback?
Yes. Pullback is 3 candles. Compared to the big impulse candle, the pullback candles are smaller. Pullback 1-legged goes back to 10 ema. Pullback is about 50%.
3 - Is the impulse move too climactic?
No, it's not too far from 10 ema.
4 - Is the pullback impulsive?
I'd say no because in comparison the impulse candle is bigger. But one could argue about it in this case.
5 - Is this the 1st or 2nd pullback?1st pullback.
6 - Is there an S/R zone near entry level?
No.
7 - What is the market phase on the current and higher time frame?
Current: uptrend
HTF: uptrend
Banana signals marked with a pink dot.
Target = 3R.
Evening trade as work was too busy. So of to bed with SL set and TP set on 3R. Can't move SL higher until next morning.
DS0
total DS: 8/13=0.62
Edited to add:
When I got at my computer this morning I see that price has been above 1R, and is below entry right now.
I accept that this can cost me 1R if it goes lower.
Edited again:
This was not a good enough breakout of the TR. We need 2-3 candles for that. This was only 1 big candle. So DS0 for violating Q1.
I do learn a lot now, I make mistakes and that's Ok. Although I find I must do better on applying obvious things that are clearly stated in the rules. I can't always check my own laptop with MT4 on it, so I don't have the Banana Indicator all the time. However I want to learn it without the indicator as well, my own brain must grasp the concept.

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
2 things I'd like to say
1. Question 1: Is there an Impulse Move? Is there a Breakout with a Higher High or Lower Low?
Explanation:
There is a good Impulse move with at least 1,2 or 3 trend candles that has little to no wicks. If there was a trading range before then there must be a Breakout. A breakout can happen out of a Trading Range or if there is a confirmed trend, there must be a New Higher High for Longs or New Lower Low for Shorts. I am looking for 2-3 Trend Candles that break out of a trading range or when there is a trend I am looking for a new swing high or low.
Revisit Question 1.
2. Why go with .1Lot when its a demo account. use the correct 1% lot size. Calculate your lots size for your pairs for 10 pips, 15 and 20 pips. Keep 4 to 4 max 8 h1 pairs and that will do the trick.
If you don't know how to calculate lot size. its ok. use this calculator

The lot size: I never changed anything to that, so it's standard setting. I will figure out how to get in on 1%. I indeed have no clue about lot size etc, so I need to learn.
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
Why don't you use Pepperstones MT4 and install the banana indicator?
I have given you free scripts with the banana installation program.
They allow you to set orders with one drag and drop and 1% risk. SL and Take profit levels set on auto

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
I have Pepperstone MT4 installed on my personal laptop. I use it to look at the signals, if I'm not working.
I clearly need to look at the MT4 tool. There is obviously more in it than I know.
