Questions from the FlowChart:
The 4 questions answered:
1 - Is there an impulse move?
Yes, there is, 3 candles.
2 - Is impulse move climactic?
No not climactic.
3 - Is there a pause or a pullback?
Yes. It's a good pull back, 2 smaller candles.
4 - Is the pullback impulsieve?
No, it looks good.
So Limit Sell pending order on the Banana seed.
Target = 3R.
3R got hit. Strange the ATM suddenly had a fixed lots of 0.10 instead of 1%. So just a small amount gained. Most important: good trade DS1.
DS1
total DS: 9/16 = 0.56
I want you to know that this is a LUCKY trade. Teh setup had clear levels to the left, it was coming out of a trading range. ... but it worked...this time.
cheers
Ps: either use the black lines or hte gator. don't pile them on top of each other. Looks so bad and it has absolutely no freaking value.

@Steven: If there is AO divergence it's a wave 5. It is for sure something to consider. I'm going to look back if I made a mistake there.steven3 wrote: 01 Jun 2022, 21:17Is the AO divergence a factor to consider?immy wrote: 01 Jun 2022, 18:21Well done on the 3R but very small lots so not much use other than? i don't know what... I have looked again, and I think it was a break out of a trading range, that being wave 4. I must say I was a tad early on entering, because price had not broken the trading range level.

No, it looks good. Banana signal #1.
So pending order on the Banana #1.
Target = 3R.
3R got hit. That's nice for the balance on the demo account but not important now.
DS0 because of violating the trade in direction of 50EMA (5xHTF). I have this on so I can be more sure of higher probability trades. Then I should use it.
total DS: 8/17 = 0.47
Some valuable comments and screenshots from Immy copied from the Tradingroom:
When I look at the screenshots: Looking now again i see what you say. This is not a good trade, and if it succeeds it's a lucky one.
The 5xHTF line is just plain stupid I didn't pay attention to it. I did not put it there to ignore it.
The swing high and lows, I can see them. When are these a potential problem? And when are they not? I didn't see this situation as Trading Range. So that's why I didn't see them as potential problem. Do I make a thinking error here?
Immy: swing highs and lows are not just for potential support or resistance. Swings show us trend. Here the Strong Swing is bearish. But as we can see now, price is going up, so it would appear that buyers were stronger and remained stronger at those levels. Your trade is successful... The thing is, your trade was a valid banana setup. that's also important.
but if you are to use the other indicator yet ignore the readings of the indicators, you are training yourself to NOT follow your indicator.s hope it makes sense.

Put Limit Buy on USD-JPY abd cancelled it as it would be DS0
This is all in hindsight of course.
I put a Limit Buy order on a seed USD-JPY.
For starters I violated Q1: Where is the impulse?
There was no impulse.
There is not such a thing as "if it's further than 20 bars away, it's no issue" when looking for levels.
I was in time to delete the limit buy order as it had not filled yet. So that saved me from a DS0 in the stats.
If I would taken the right signal and setup, there would have been a DS1 and 3R.

Questions from the FlowChart:
The 4 questions answered:
1 - Is there an impulse move?
Yes, there is, 3 candles and a fresh cross of AO. 50EMA on right side.
2 - Is impulse move climactic?
No not climactic.
3 - Is there a pause or a pullback?
Yes. It's a good pull back, 2 smaller candles.
4 - Is the pullback impulsieve?
No, it looks good. Banana signal #2.
So pending order on the Banana #2.
Target = 3R.
Right now, trade is still running. SL is at BE.
This post will be updated when trade has finalised.
Update:
Trade has closed it has reached 3R.
Question
Somehow in MT4 the "Trade marks" disappeared. I mean the entry and exit little marks that used to be in the chart. I can't find where I can put these back in. Anyone know the setting for this?
I now draw lines in the result screenshot.
DS1.

Wednesday 8-6-2022 missed Seed on USD-JPY
Sadly I missed the Seed on USD-JPY. It was gone already. See screenshot.
No other setups yet on the charts I watch. Maybe later.

Re: Wednesday 8-6-2022 missed Seed on USD-JPY
I had PO on the seed but the market went down first which deleted my po then went upon the seed. I should have or could have caught limit buy no the banana signal but I don't do that for bananas. only seeds.kvr1966 wrote: 08 Jun 2022, 10:52 Sadly I missed the Seed on USD-JPY. What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".

12 - Post-Trade Comments: (Feelings, Analysis, What could have been differently, lessons)
USD-JPY is only going up, up, up. At around 01:00 the 5 EMA and 1 0EMA separated. Technically this was the 3rd pause/pullback that produced a signal after that separation. Because this pair is only going up, I took this trade, and I qualify it as DS1.
SL was just moved to BE when it decided to go down a little and hit the SL. So result was BE.
