Why it took me 3 Months to Pass this Challenge?
Hi
I am sorry I did not tell you in advance but here it is now.
I was trying to prove that you can win the challenge using the Banana Method on the Hourly time frame.
So, I started this challenge in April. I purchased the $200,000 challenge from my forex funds, it cost $997 or something.
The challenge began in Evaluation Phase 1. The target was 8% with a total drawdown of 12%. Had I crossed below 5% on a day or 12% in total the challenge is lost.
I had a very positive start and on the very first trade, I almost passed the challenge when I took the NAS Limit to buy and caught $11,400 in one trade. Now I was only $5,600 away.
(Indeed the best trade of my "new" career)
It then took me another 3 weeks to do the $5,600 because I kept leaving the screen due to boredom and I could not trade M1 since I had banned myself from it. I will go to the m1 from time to time and trade and forget about this account. I thought its just one trade anyway.
In the end, it was only 7 days left so I went for it and finally took the DAX trade that got me the $6,600 profit trade and won phase 1.
Then I went completely bonkers.
I have now shared Batch 1 and Batch 2 trades in the journal, 2nd or 3rd post. Please forgive me, I have been a really bad boy. It felt like I was letting myself, my family and all of you down.
So I abandoned the Discord group, I cut down on everything. I packed my big PC, (no games) I cleared the trading desk and only one laptop was left.
I stopped all social activity and started focusing on one thing To get used to the H1 time frame.
A month later I am not feeling bored anymore. I have plenty of time and I can take trades objectively. But as you go through the batches you will see, that I constantly keep changing my template. It is a disease that has haunted me for years but more so during the last 2 years when I deliberately started to change my trading style.
So, long story short, it took me nearly 2 months to achieve the mere 5% target for the phase 2 evaluation.
Remember, H1 is a complete NEW game for me. I have traded M1 for 10 years as my main trading thing. Now H1 is my main and it was weird. I love it now. I will not change.
I will continue to target 5% per month target and I will be VERY choosy and selective with my trades. Once I catch the trades, I will LET them run, I won't get out because its hit 5% or something I will use levels from D1 and let them run and add on to my trades.
Please go through my journal and learn and swear at me as well. I don't know if it will help anyone of you but if it does, then that will make me happy.

ps: meanwhile I have been diagnosed with ADHD and now I know why you guys think so differently than I. I now know why I talk too much, I now know why I fidget all day. I now know why they all ran away from me in school. I now know why I was told off for being fidgety, impulsive and doing "their head in" (with too much talking). I know. But I am sad and happy at the same time. It took me 40+ years to find out who I am but at least I know.
this has been emotional. This could be the start of a NEW chapter in my life.
ps: Ironically the Winning trade came from US30 M1. I just can't believe this... but it is the DAMN truth. I was $2000 away from target and I just knew this one was a winner. I took it. And bOOOOOM (but I won't do it again.)
