Nitin's Journal

Unread post by Nitin »

I think now I m ready to trade AIMS. At first I decided to to trade only Blue/Re dots. I monitor charts all day but unfortunately don't get a single Red/Blue dot. So no trade for today. Let see wht will I get tomorrow.

Edit: oh I forgot to say that I m trading only 5min tf

Lots of thanks :-h

Hi Nitin, Good luck in your trading , This system however is fantastic on one min set up taking into account the 5 min trend, Depending what version you are using your 5 min template may not give you a dot. I would suggest you check this out with one of the Aimsters

Hi Nitin

You might want to change your settings for M5 or use the V2.1 template for M5. Remember that the M1 template of V5.1 is specifically designed for M1. Therefore if trading only M5 (and I dont know why would you chose to do that but anyway) You'd need to change AIMS Entry Alert V5.1 Settings to suit M5. Change value of AIMSPipsBox to lets say 25pip and increase your FilterAOValue to e.g. .0008 instead of .0006. As I said the upgrade is specifically designed for Trading M5/M1 strategy.

Most Kind Regards

Immy

Thanks MichaelC and Immy for your answers. I had downloaded the v5.1 upgrade which contains 2 templates. One is for M1 and second for M5 however when I attached the M5 template on my5 min tf chart it was not showing the dots because V5.1 entry alert indicator was not attached so I attach it from navigator window without changing any settings.

I think there is some problem with settings that's why I don't get any dots( there were dots other than Blue/red).

As u said Immy this strategy is specially designed for trading M1 into the direction of M5 so I will try that but whn I back tested this on M1 it was showing lots of rent trades thats why I m scared.

Waiting for ur reply Immy and Aimsters

Thank you

Ok Guys this is my first trade using AIMS.The vertical line is the dot candle( I don't know why dot vanished after breakout of aims level) I think there were perfect condition for setup 1. So I place PO 1 pip below the lower aims level. After some time PO triggered and price follow a beautiful downtrend.

I was thinking to trailing my stop loss but there were no consecutive 5 red candles. Finally I closed my trade at opposite small blue dot 8-| .

Net Profit=+3 pips.

Any comments are welcome

Thank You

Hi Nitin

I had an order set for the long too, but mine was not triggered, I had 13273 as my entry. It could be the spread on your broker changed close to your entry. It may not show on the chart as only the "sell" price is shown on the chart.

As you say next!

Hey Nitin. As Mike mentioned, unfortunate your PO triggered, - difference the broker -
Looking back, at the time I expected a setup short since previous high was w3 peak followed by divergence = w5. (the yellow swing line arrow) (red box the area)

Also the resistance levels above was bias for me for short.
The run down from top seemed an impulse with again minor divergence at the red box.

The purple line /trend was sideways if you notice the previous swing, so a short would have been valid where purple line is concerned but next aims levels and being w5 r/r was not good.

I did not take any trade either direction.
