No trades for me today as my day job completely got in the way.... sigh

Hi Grant,
I'm relatively newbie to the forex and I read with great interest your Journal, is a real gold mine! This is an application in practice and reality of AIMS system, and more, see someone do this work with such discipline and patience is a great lesson for all us. I want to ask you a question, I think I understand your money management system about SL, trailling stops, etc.. I also understand that your entry is always 1% of your account equivalent to your initial 13 pips SL, my question is: after your entry, keep you the same 1 % percentage to exit or, you use the add on system as proposed in the AIMS system with different percentages?
I hope I made ​​clear, my English is not terrible!

Hi jean,

welcome to the world of AIMS trading !!!!

As i'm not the cleverest of people i stick to only the one entry, so no add ons.

As for exits i will set a take profit at a level where i think price will react against my trade (ie higher TF aims levels or pivots or fib expansions etc), at the same time i will trail using new aims levels or consecutive candles which may take me out before any TP is hit...

Frustratingly no trades again today, work was in the way but i did manage some chart time for an hour or so during NY but to be honest it was a massive cluster f&ck...

I'm off work tomorrow so will have some decent chart time.....

So was off today when i eventually got home form my over running night shift, missing the good trades in the London am session. As for NY session i havent seen a tradeable set up and now i have to get the kids to various after school activities...

So another day of no trades, sigh

Morning all,

i have had whats known in my household "as one of those weeks...."

so to avoid having the ache/hump through the weekend i have shut down my trading pc and am going for the long weekend option...lol

This week i managed the massive total of 2 trades for 11.8 pips (0.91%)..... VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! lol

not sure how to respond to that to be honest...

I guess that sitting and seeing no tradeable set ups or being at work and missing trades is my frustration....

To answer your comment concerning making money this week, yes it has been tough but as you will have seen from my dot analysis SSs i like to only take the obvious and best looking trades. To me a dot doesn't necessarily mean i have to place a PO....
