Re: Higher Time Frames

I went short on the EUR-USD H1 this morning. Technically it was not an ideal Aims setup as A0 was old and not close to zero (at least not with my experimental settings), however, I took it anyway. I have just returned from work to see it is nicely in profit so I have manually closed it for +86pips (+4.3%).

I am also short on the NZD-USD H4. At present it is only 18pips in profit so i will leave it over the weekend to see how it performs.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Richard

That's fantastic, you really seem to have nailed the higher timeframes.

Well done and have a great weekend

Mixed emotions when I opened up my platform this morning. The Nzd-Usd H4 trade I have had running for the past few days hit its TP during the night for +154pips (+1.54%). Although delighted with the good ground this has made I meant to move my TP before going to bed last night and I forgot. I do have a trade management EA running that moves the TP & SL as the trade moves, however, this only works when the pc is on and I turned it off last night.

I had my head in the clouds last night as I am having some strange problems with my Alpari accounts (phantom trades, lines changing colour, lines disappearing), they are been very good about so lets hope it gets resolved quickly.

Thanks Herbert and Grant.

The higher time frames just seem to make sense to me while M1 is a roller coaster of which I will be riding tomorrow as I am working from home tomorrow.

Thanks

I have just manually closed my USD-CHF H1 trade for +38pips (+1.9%).
The trade looked to be stalling and my other system is saying short so I took what I had.
I initially went after the H4 aims level which would have been 20pips, however, I let it run and it almost doubled my initial target.

Today has been a very good day for the higher time frames. I have managed +192pips (+3.44%) for very little screen time whilst fitting it in around my work which is great.
Humpha has shown in his journal that when the HTF wants to play there are some great pips to be had.

I got into an H1 NZD-USD trade this morning before I went to work. I waited for the price to cross the purple line, Aims wave was still close to zero so I got in and set a tight stop loss of 10 pips and a TP of the D1 Aims low. I have just returned from work to see it has given me +60.5pips (+6.05%).

After the market frenzy that occured today I was expecting to see a lot more setups that had occured throughout the day, however, on my charts there wasn't any (or at least none that I can see through my sleepy eyes).
