Humpha's big wave journal

Unread post by humpha »

G,day everyone,
It is time to start a journal, I trade the 1min and 1hr charts. I like to only trade the 1hr charts during the London and into NY session while I'm waiting for 1 min Aims set ups. I only trade a demo account and have set a modest target of 2% a week. As time is limited and trading these sessions is PM time in Australia capital preservation is key. I follow the Aims rules on the 1 min charts 'short surf' and am refining my strategy daily for the 1hr chart 'big barrels'. All comments welcome. ;)

Trade on 1hr AUD/JPY 5/3/12.
My 1hr strategy is target of 1% or 50 pip. Break of Aims and look for support on 4hr preferably with 4hr wave heading in same direction or crossing as well. Stop loss is 40 pip and trail. I do take trades against the purple if supported by 4hr, but still refining this method. This trade barreled for 55pip, 1%.

1hr trade on 6-3-12 gbp/usd
Purple was good, break of aims, room for movement, there was red news on Gbp so was risky and not supported by 4hr chart but no news at the moment is good and turned into a nice little shore dump. 53 pip, 1%.

6-3-12, 1hr trade on gby/jpy
break of aims, with purple, room for movement, set target on 4hr resistance, candle went down and hit my tp, I was too busy watching the 1min charts and it closed my trade then dropped another 50 pips all the way to the beach . Again this trade was not supported by 4hr chart but felt like they were gonna go. I think from now on once my target of 1% is hit I'll trail closely. 60 pips, 1.2%
I should be a little more disciplined.

Nice one Humpha

I have been at work all day and just got in to see it was a superb day for H1. I only caught 1 trade before I went to work (USD-CHF currently +44pips).
