My EUR-GBP H4 long trade has given me an exit signal on the last candle, however, I have not taken it but moved my sl to the bottom of that candle (6 pips away). So lets see what happens.

Oh well that didn't work out. SL hit for -30pips (-0.3%).

My usd-chf H1 trade has just hit its sl for +43pips (+2.15%).
I originally targeted the Aims H4 high, however, as the price charged up I let it go and moved my sl to this level.

Here is how I am looking at filtering for TREND and to trade in that direction.

Watch for a break of the Super Trend indicator on a 4 Hour chart, place both vertical & horizontal lines at that point

Wait for the first retracement & signal on the 1 Hour chart

If price stays in either the BUY zone or SELL zone on the 4 Hour chart, take each signal

Can drop to 15 Minute chart for extra signals

BUY or SELL zone is defined by the area between 2 Bollinger Bands, first with default settings of 20 MA & 2 deviations, and the other with 20 MA and 1 deviation

See how many times price will just climb up or down the bands

Down to 1 hour chart, wait for retracement and the trade signal

I'm loving this thread! its great to see different perspectives! Same setup different time frames splendid. I had a good trade on UJ today It hit 1:1 nearly. I know it required a bigger stop loss but on the hourly I'm following my original trading technique as explained in the ebook. So its sleepy alligators and AIMS levels that make my day!

This particular trade on H4 is interesting. Reason being, just check the Daily chart. While it looked like a setup just a look to the left of hte chart shows that the entry is still in sideways market. I saw this, and did not take on H4 because the daily Alligator was about to sleep and was inside AIMS levels. for me, when Alligator is sleeping on a higher time frame I wait for it to either break out or catch a Setup on lower time frame.

ps: EG has just printed a Short Signal for the Daily Time Frame, Aligator is sleeping. Trend previously is down. I think its a good signal.
