Thanks for the info Grant.

Yes, i myself do not have the skill to manage more than one trade.
I monitor primarily EU 1min and 5min, lately taking trades on 5min also when 1min seems (dirty), but one at a time.
I do not monitor longer than 30min with other pairs, 7 in total including EU.

So i am on the right path configuring AIMS alert... stretching it as far as it can go... :D
Great stuff on the short earlier. \m/

Herbert

I tend to work from home quite a bit (consultant chartered engineer) and have a pc dedicated to trading and a separate one for my work.
On my trading pc I am watching several stocks on daily charts (stocks are my main trading vehicle and by far my main income stream) while forex I am trading 10 pairs on Aims HTF and 10 pairs on a separate strategy using H1, H4 and D1 and also Aims M1.

Each forex strategy has its own Alpari/IG Index account and is therefore open all the time. I use Aims alerts and simply look at the relevant chart when a signal is given. For my other forex strategy I simply spend 2 or 3 minutes on the hour having a quick scan to see if there are any setups and I am finished.
I use Teamviewer on my IPhone/IPad to manage trades whilst away and also Cavemanager TM to manage my trades during the night.
Been an engineer I am very analytical, therefore trading stocks fits me very well as it is more a black and white strategy plus I have been doing it for around 20 years. Forex is more a hobby and another trading vehicle to use between my stock picking.

Hope this helps
Richard

Thanks for the reply Richard.
I seem to have a gap on a comprehensive order manager as I like it to fit my style and requirements. (visual/multiple lot-TP/multiple pair) I also use ManageThePip, which have a seperate java screen to configure settings on the fly for each pair, dragable lines entry, but no visual drag-n-drop ability while in a trade like luktom....

There does not seem to be too many options available on the net, definately room for improvement.

Herbert

Hi Herbert,

at the time being I watch only EU, because I'm not even able to see immediately everything on this one chart. At the moment I'm refining a checklist, based on Grant's, which especially cares also for black dot opportunities. so I was really staring at the chart, when the white "black dot" at 11:03 (GMT+1 ) appeared.
But usually I also miss a lot of beautiful trades.
Or even worse, I have the setup and my SL is two pips to short like 15:35.
When I'm not at my desk I rush upstairs for the alerts.
As order managment the VE-Aims is good for me, since I don't have two different trades on the same currency.
Bettina

P.S. The DAX has hit the 7000 ( with a peak of a wave 5, won't be able to keep it ) !!!
Richard, my major activity is also worldwide stocks and leveraged certificates

Yes today has been a fantastic day for the stockmarket.
I have had 4 hit their profit levels today giving me +27% so I am very happy.

Tracy

I take all my decisions based from daily charts but not MT4. These have been held since the end of 2011 and have experienced some volatility prior to today.

Initially alerted by 5min green dot, alligator asleep and strong bias level. Hidden divergence on RSI and breaking through market midline, red dot break past range low under bias level.
Held 1min trade while monitoring 5min developing w3 to next support level.
