Hi Folks,

Any of you members of EWI International listen to the free video by Peter Brandt (he is a top trader). When you get past the adverts for his boot camps he talks about risk management being the thing that seperates a top pro trader from the rest of us. Pro traders in his words risk 1% period sometimes less.

Set ups which we spend so much time worrying about he calls a snapshot in a moment of time and a snapshot of chaos at that.

I think it is really thought provoking stuff. If you want I can try to post the main points.

Firstly a happy and profitable new year to everyone. I have been only trading spasmodically for a while and I have really neglected this journal. I am now back pretty full time - for me that is not sitting in front of my screen all day I trade the busiest times.
My favourite setup is wait for the alligator to go to sleep on M1. AO will be close to zero. Wait for dot the right side of purple check alligator is open on M5 and price is not too close to recent M5 resistance/support. New AIMS appears bingo it works.
I don't need to spend hours analysing but then Immy always called me a maverick. ;)

Thanks Immy up 3% this week sticking almost exclusively to set up 1. Won't be trading first part of next week. Once I get going properly I will start posting trades and providing I can discipline myself to do it my weekly results good and bad.
