Well that is yet another month over. It is incredible where the time goes.

I haven't traded much this month as I have been on holiday for two weeks (although I did take a few sneaky trades while the wife was out shopping) and also spent a week working on my house, therefore I have only really had a weeks worth of trading. That been said I had a good month with +194pips (+13.5%).

When I started trading aims at the begining of January I told myself that I would give it my best shot and see how I was getting on at the end of May and decide from there. I know I have another month to go, however, from the results I have so far the higher time frames are proving the better option for me. Time is one of the most precious things we have and spending 10-20 minutes a day to trade H1 & H4 is major advantage over the slave to the screen M1.

Let's see what May brings.

You seem to be doing really well :) just one more thing just been messing around with them settings you have put up for the 4hr am i right in saying that all it does is change the dots and the hist (ao/wave) colour but keeps the actual method the same. I'm not really in to dots on higher TFs like to trade what i see.

That Last Sentence is a Sign of Danger. If you don't trust the dots, you will never be able to trade em. IMHO.

For some reason my interest is waning for forex and I am finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate on the charts, therefore, I am backing away from M1 a bit and concentrating more on the higher timeframes and thus a lot less screen time.

Because of the statement above I have had very limited screen time this week and only taken 5 trades for +31pips (+1.45%).

Eur-Usd M1 -2 (-0.2%)
Eur-Usd H1 +20 (+1%)
Usd-Cad H1 -16 (-0.8%)
Eur-Usd H1 +20 (+1%)
Usd-Chf H1 +9 (+0.45%)

Hi Richard I look forward to reading your journal for your higher time frame, I know that you have been using both the lower and higher time frame and your results for both are very impressive but I too am looking to trade the higher time frame as I find it too consuming being at the screen all the time and sods law is when I leave the screen miss the good set ups so I will follow your journal with interest. Can I ask which pairs you will be following and will this be the 1 hour and 4 hour time frames?

I will be trading the pairs shown in my post on 6th April and will be H1 and H4.

For me the time reward of M1 v H1/H4 is just not there. I am currently building my own house and it is taking up a lot of my time. I will still trade M1 just not to the degree that I have been doing and maybe if/when I get the house done I might get back to the routine that I have been in.

I like aims and feel it is a very good system it is more my hectic lifestyle that is driving this.
