Cheers for now Dennis :)

It is a simple excel spreadsheet where I write down the timeframe, pair traded, date, pips won/lost etc then manually enter the values into the summary boxes. I am sure it could be automated, however it literally takes a few seconds to fill in each day and probablly a minute to compile the summary at the end of the month.

If you like I will post the excel spreadsheet on here (if it will allow me). I will need to tidy it up a little which I will get done during the week as I have a busy couple of days as it is a bank holiday weekend here in England and we have that very rare thing of good weather so I am making the most of it and working on my house.

The setting that I am currently trying are shown below. I have not taken enough trades to determine whether these are 100% yet but are what I am playing with at present.

Hey Richard. Good going mate!! I hope in some way my "explanation" in Tom's journal had it's small part in your success :))

I am starting to get interested in 1H and are doing some footwork to get familiar. Obviously email alerts is key to cover 9+ ccy's.
Referring to your published parameter sheet, I would hope to not "re-invent the wheel" and would like to capitalize on your last release.

Q: What method did you use to come to these settings (i do realise it is on-going). I am not very fond of back-testing but sometimes that is all one has, to get a start on mechanics.

Actually I don't use EW at all as it confuses the hell out of me. I tried to understand it, and in doing so it actually cost me pips so I no longer use it. I just stick to the original aims rules and they serve me well.

I like a simple chart and a simple strategy and that's what I have with aims.

A good week this week, well actualy a good overnight trading H1 (the last 4 trades shown below are all from this morning). This week I have taken 9 trades for +139pips (+7.95%).

Usd-Jpy M1 +10 (+1%)
Gbp-Usd M5 +10 (+1%)
Nzd-Usd H1 +15 (+0.75%)
Aus-Usd H1 +4 (+0.2%)
Eur-Jpy H1 +10 (+0.5%)
Eur-Usd H1 +30 (+1.5%)
Usd-Chf H1 +20 (+1%)
Nzd-Usd H1 +20 (+1%)
Usd-Cad H1 +20 (+1%)

I am not taking any more trades today as I don't want to go into the weekend with a loss. I am more than happy with 7.95% for the week.

I am another year older on Monday so my wife is taking me off in the morning to Scotland for an extended weekend. I will be back trading on Wednesday. I hope you all have a great weekend.
