I couldn't help but trade this setup as I turned on my laptop for a browse of the 15 and 5 min charts to see what had been going on today. -1 pip on this one taken on the 1min chart. I will return tomorrow for London Open

Hey Tom

not a bad setup indeed. The only problem was it was late and usually there is less activity around that time. But the setup was spot on.

Wish you better luck tomorrow.

cheers

Thanks Immy, I am really enjoying my trading this month and trying to nail the entries; and just take 1% from the trade then rinse and repeat. My approach now is to look at the 15 and 5 min charts on 3 pairs, and scale down to 1 min for a nicer entry. I found my self in a rut before of staring out the 1min charts hunting setups, not really looking too much at what the 5min was doing and paying rents! Yeah it is a bit late in the day it seems some evening trades really fly and others don't really get going. Other than the issue of still having no sound alerts with my dots (hopefully steve knows the answer) overall I'm feeling much more positive about my trading ability recently.

1. Does your broker use Suffix or Prefix?
2. Do you have the V5.1 sound files installed
3. Do you have the Entry Alert settings set correctly, e.g. if you have switched popup alert and sound alert on at the same time it wont work. switch either one to false.
let me know if this helps otherwise Steves' the man!

cheers

Nicely Done Tom

This is truly fantastic. Your target should be very achievable. And you must be hit it consistently. Once that is done, and only then for extended that you should look for improving in increments. Small baby steps forward. Well Done again. I have realised after years of trading that some people find it difficult to set targets, while others set too hard targets. Those who know the balance and set targets that are balanced with their trading style, personality and life style they are the ones that success and flourish. Well Done again.

If I hit 5% for a week that is very good for me. But I usually stay around 2-7% for a week. you know that if you average 10% per month thats equal to 300% a year. and that is better than any business in the world. So all you need is 2.5% a week or .5% a day.

cheers
