today i've learned that previous divergence on AO doesn't matter for entries. on the attached picture i ask my self, is this an entry because we have divergence already..

now i know that it doesn't matter and should have been a short for me. result probably +1. then there was a short signal exactly on chf news so i didn't take that one. and later still there was a short with an addon that i didnt take, the reason was the signal was given way to fast. in a matter of seconds i would have been entered into it, this signal also had an addon and the results would be good. also, as i trade frankfurt to lunch this is probably the last day for me. i don't like friday thats just the way i am.. the last week was nice going up and this one only a few pips up, but winning is winning. :)

as long as i learn each day its fine if i miss some setups.

Cool. I just wanted to point out w.r.t what you said about previous divergence. If one would be trading divergence exclusively and we accept all criteria was met and a trader took the divergence trade, it would then have been a failed trade.
Apology for elaborating, I just need to follow through on the reasoning.

ENTER AIMS!!!! ;)
Ewaves (AO) at the time showed your divergent wave as W3. Note 1.
Since AIMS seek out tradable waves 3 and 5, Elliotwave-in-1sec, we now expect a W4, with AO loosing momentum as it did, seeking W4 actively until AO ZL is crossed. At that exact moment Ewaves labelled and confirmed W4. You also notice how price entered into the red aimsigator area?? NON-trade area where w4’s mess non-AIMS traders up.

Once Ewaves confirms W4 as shown by the vertical yellow line, we start preparing for setups for W5. Ewaves then project highly probable W5 targets for consideration.
THAT was the missed trade you refer to…
There-after price continued lower than previous low and Ewaves labeled it W5 on 2 dimensions.
1. Structure – price went lower than previous marked w3
2. Momentum – AO momentum was divergent from previous w3 peak…

Wave 5 confirmed on both counts.
NOW, that is the divergence AIMS/Ewaves use mainly. A confirmation of W3-W4-W5. Suddenly we can look back and say without question or query, THAT WAS A COMPLETE ELLIOT CYCLE. (Having confirmations like this, without the endless ???? of typical elliot, we gain confidence for the following price structure and setup, slowly building our view of market structure.

THAT, in itself, the following price action, is contained in AIMS methodology in the advanced section, called a P5 structure. Soon Ewaves will also alert us on THAT…..

Back to Note1: your pointed divergence. As AIMS and Chaos theory teaches us, the market is built on fractals, IE: the same structure on all time frames and periods… Since we know MAIN divergence in AIMS is a W5, we look at your W3 with divergence anew and realise there is a sub-wave 5 contained in it, only thing is, we are on 1min. One typically go TF lower to see it, in this case we are left with the tick chart.. :))
Main point I am making, look at divergence within the AIMS methodology, that is the way out of the divergence maze…
(let me stop before the forum server crash!!!)

The numbers are my labelling as Ewaves had it...

In blue numbering, i now added the sub-waves 3-4-5 of W3 in black... explaining the divergence you mentioned...

;)
Since wave 4 was confirmed, i considered it a P5. Drawing trendline from wave 3 base across w4. For a post P5 setup, i look for favorable AIMS qualifiers. That makes a deadly efficient combination.
As per my posted morning trade, i monitored these and saw price zip up/down till aimsigator settled and AO coincided. It was "obvious" that the market had to work long after the P5, but there must have been some opposing traders creating sufficient volatility at first to knock out tight stops.
So, no i do not just take those advanced structures unless i get a good AIMS setup qualifier to package it... :D

***EDIT** The trendline as you mentioned would have been too steep for me.
Hope i answered you correctly... ;;)
