Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Weekly Summary,
Looked through my previous weeks trades and to be honest several of them were crap. Some did not follow the rules and setting an 11 pip target isn't effective. I have limited chart time it was clear that sometimes I tend to chase trades. More discipline is required. I took a couple of days off from trading to clear my head and now know if I follow the system with patience my trading will improve, if there are no trades, take no trades. Only 3 trades this week.
Eur Jpy 1min +7, .6% Gbp Usd 1min +7, .6% Usd Chf 4hr +37, .3%. Manually closed trade as wave losing momentum and feel it could rejoin larger trend. Finished week 1.5% and with a clearer focus.

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Good on you Tony.
You have seen the errors of your trading, stepped back, refocused and have taken a big step forward.
Three nice trades this week and a great weekly total. You are on your way mate.

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Thanks Richard,
I was trying to re-invent the wheel somewhat. The hard facts are in this forum, stick to the rules, be patient and results will follow. I am learning this the hard way but can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Well done on your trading its inspirational.

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Weekly summary,
Monday 18th, 4hrs chart time, no trades or me.
Tuesday 19th, 4hrs chat time. Usd/cad 1hr, 26pips, 1%. Hit tp. Reason for no 1min trades is although set up's did occur, I plan to only take the best set ups I see and preferably with a double aims break.
Wednesday 20th, 5hrs chart time, eur/usd 1min, rent of -1, .08%. Was hoping for wave 5 but not so. Thursday 21st, 2.5hrs chart time. gbp/usd 1min +9, .7%. Trade stalled for 2 candles so I manually closed only to watch it drop further but I was happy anyway as I was patient all week and had noticed several pairs moving well around the NY open times and this trade met the rules, was supported by the 5min charts and gave a nice swell. Friday 22nd, 30min chart time. Visitors arrived so time was better spent packing the boats for a weekend of exploration. No trades.
Finished the week +1.6%, and chuffed with growing patience and discipline. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Richard,
Many thanks for the kind words. I have stumbled along the path but have learnt a lot recently and the big one is patience, more discipline and following the rules plus recently I've gained a better understanding or paying more attention to the direction of the alligator on both the 1min/5min. We do read it here in the forum many times but its only recently I've made myself more accountable for it. I feel many of the traders here have had similar journeys and there would be so many we don't hear or read from. It is great to see others like yourself sharing results and reading Grants journal tonight is truly inspirational for aims traders. Im greatfull to be part of AIMS.

Tony I can't agree enough when you say how many times we read and see about the alligator on the higher time frames, I am now starting to pay more attention to this and it's defiantly helping me stay patient and disciplined. We can learn the system but I believe you can only learn to be consistent by having the patience and discipline, and I guess that only starts to come after getting stung a few times! You seem to be getting some good results now, well done & keep it up!
