Morning.

my thought process on this trade was not entirely different to yours. we both follow the flow chart (i think) so i ask the same questions as you do.

the only real difference is that my alligator doesn't have a blue line, so looking at your pic then the red and green lines were not inter twined and so not asleep....

hope this helps and keep at it

Thanks for the help there Grant :) Your advise is truly sage like with the results you get from forex.
I definately will be sticking at it. This will be my main source of income one day, so it isn't a matter of if, but when.

I learned something very valuable from an NLP expert a few years ago. A person does not have to invent the way to success. They have to find someone who has made it so in a way that resonates with them and learn from them. I have my VSA mentor and I have also found AIMS as a very successful methodology .... once it clicks. I hope to follow your way of trading (conservative is fine by me with this as there are so many opportunities each day).

I hope to soon be able to have the confidence of joining the skype group for more learning of the method, but want to have a grasp of it before I join it. I don't want to wast Immy's (and whoever else's) time with absolute newbie mistakes.

My trading of this method will improve B-)

I have a little question on the attached chart from just now. Just after we got the yellow smiley (which got cancelled out), we had a pink dot where I thought a red would have possibly been. If it were red, we would have traded the breakout of the AIMS box and taken a nice short opportunity, however, it was pink and an S2 which meant a breakout of the next AIMS box.

Was it determined an S2 because the green line was still above the red one? It seemed to match conditions for an S1 entry, and I have not so far found why there was the difference to make it an S2.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Afternoon,

the candle that he pink dot printed above broke the aims low so it is then classed as a set up 2.

set up 1's are where the candle the dot prints on stay completely within the aims level

hope this helps

Long time no post. I have been watching a heck of a lot and trying to get the eWaves as a natural thing for me, as well as coming to grips with the new V6.

I have an observation/question on a possible AU trade just now.

I see that on the m1, there was a recent cross of AO, possibly a Wave 4, before we had two DA,s in close succession. The gator was sleeping, and AIMS box was fine, being only 3 or so pips.

Looking at the m5, the gator was also asleep with what looked to be a newish up trend developing (the orange gator line was on the up side).

The 1hr though, was ona down trend and bottomed out a bit, no real evidence that it was a fresh low or going to retrace a but had been in a down trend.

The 1hr was possibly the only thing to me that said that it may not be high probability, but I was quite tempted.
3.2, 10.3
If the trade was taken, the S/L would have been in the order of 6.2 pips (3.2 plus 3), and would have gone 10.3 pips before closing out on the black dot. A fairly nice and quick trade.

Now I have completed my verbatim, I am interested in anyone elses thoughts on it, both good and constructive. I feel that this sort of conversation may help me in getting that final aha moment before I feel like I have the confidence to trade it.

Thanks everyone in advance :-bd

Hello everybody. I am back from quite an amount of time off.
I am hoping to pick things up again, but it will take an amount of time before I am where I was and to then move forward again.

Not sure what else to say at this stage except I hope to be in the chats for the London Open (If I am home from work) and the NY Open as well. Interesting so far seeing the DAX seems to be the one with the best ADR and EU not quite so much at the moment. I have opened an IC Markets Demo for now which has the DAX, so looking forward to building my AIMS skill and then be able to help others as they come through.

Oh, and looks like the best thing to start at the moment is the seeds and fruits. A bit of a learning curve ahead. Hopefully, in about a week, I might be confident enough to ask some not so silly questions if they come up :)
