Stay in the Rythm Stay in the flow! Rememer the Four Conditions to allow yourself into the zone.

1. Enjoyment: You are having a Blast
Personal Experience: If trading does not give me a blast, I imagine that it does, I enhance those feelings and they start effecting my physical self. I remind and imagine the times when I was having a blast. That brings my joy back.

2. Focus: You have keen awareness and Alert
Personal Experience: This is very important. But you cannot get it by physically forcing yourself into this condition. In order to achieve this, Stay in the now. Focus like a hawk and float. People generally think that for focusing you need to stress yourself. You have to learn about yourself and find how your physical posture, mental state, your certain thoughts can help you remain alert and focuses. Used them to your advantage.

3. Relaxation: You're fee from extreme anxiety.
Personal Experience: there are several technique to get you in to this. The number one anxiety killer is the Breathing Technique explained in the mind section. Very simple but deadly technique. A little bit of Stress (within healthy levels) is not bad. In fact for some people it might be a requirement to help them achieve Point 2 or even Point 1.

4. Self-Trust: You have confidence in your judgement.
Personal Experience: I get confidence from looking at my past performance. In my case, at least now its good, something that I'm proud about, so I immediately get into the trust and confidence zone. But the number one source of confidence is The Setup. I believe that the Setup will get us through. I know that amid zig zaggy price action it is the Setup that is the Light. The setup gives me confidence. Added to that eWave or AIMS Wave analysis gives me that extra boost. and now the Arrows. Arrows tell me that my favourite setup, which is Alligator open on higher time frame and Setup on current time frame, situation is happening. It adds to confidence.

I was going to write this in my journal but again since your chart and your post instigated this flow of thoughts, i dedicate it to you. All the best. (I have not read it twice so apologies for any mistakes)

edit: once again Richard was writing as i was writing and he beat me to it! :-?

Immy your last post is the key to trading without all of those elements in place you will struggle.
Best post I have read on this forum.

Immy !

Deep bow for the dedication !

1. Enjoyment: You are having a Blast
2. Focus: You have keen awareness and Alert
3. Relaxation: You're free from extreme anxiety.
4. Self-Trust: You have confidence in your judgement.

Yes, substantially I can sign all of that !

But there's something additional
5 ) If something doesn't work, you have to meticulously find out , what has to be changed
6 ) rules to follow must be in line with your brain structures

Personal experience ( till now ) :
I've always achieved, what I wanted or had plans for. So there had to be any reason.
You probably have seen, what I changed yesterday evening. Looking at my results I think I couldn't get the indicator in line with my brain structures. There must have been something ( didn't find it out ) , that caused permanent confusion ( I mean parallel contradicting electrical discharges in the brain ), which makes it impossible to achieve your points 2 - 4.
I was so enthusiastic in the beginning, but it didn't work for me. This has nothing to do with the indi itself and even has no meaning for all other people in the forum. I'm an INTF ( if you are familiar with the Jung/Briggs/Myers personality types ). This is different from 98% of all people. Perhaps this might be accepted as excuse for having removed that powerful beauty.

But, all that will only show to be true with my results in the future. If not, searching and trying will never end !

Cheers
Bettina

btw : Missed the afternoon runs, but not by lack of being alert, but by being busy with betting on a piccolo flute - didn't get it - next !

Great Post and thoughts Bettina!

I thank you for your contribution and admire your efforts.

I totally agree and understand what you said. However let me point just 1 thing. the four points are 4 Conditions to Allow you to enter THE ZONE. So yes if 5,6 are not present 1-4 would be difficult to achieve but one must learn to Be Happy Now to See Happy Now and the Now that we thing is not now but later or tomorrow. I hope it makes sense

Take good care of yourself, treat yourself and have a great weekend . and the same to the rest. I don't raise a Glass but I'll do it symbolically, here is to all of you and a great weekend. (hug) @};- :O)
