Evening All,

hope your weekend has been good...

Fridays 2 trades pdfs attached. I managed to be at the pc in between the run up in Asia and the run up in the late London am session so finished with 2 rents which were :

M1

Eu -4

M5

EU -15

PDFs below

Frustrating as if work had been an hour later then i would have had a very good end to the week... C'est la vie...

So unbelievably both the m1 and m5 ended at 0 pips for the week from 6 trades (m1 x 4 and m5 x 2)

There is always next week

cheers

As for June it has had some good points and some bad/frustrating points...

My results are best given weekly

So:

Week 1 : school holidays = 0 trades = 0 pips = 0%
Week 2 : on call for work = 7 trades = +20 = +0.39%
Week 3 : off and trading = 20 trades = +90 = +6.26%
Week 4 : on call for work = 6 trades = 0 = 0%

total : +110 pips (6.65%)

The m5 and m1 totals breakdown are below.

As you can see the bad/frustrating point is i could do with more chart time in my working weeks.... my wife says school hols dont count (rofl)

On the good side, if i can get do manage some more chart time then the m1/m5 combination is working well.......

That being said i am making 1 small change to my rules for the m5s in July concerning when to cancel POs, which is :

I have turned off the black dots, so will only cancel POs if the opposite side of AIMS is broken significantly by price. By significantly i mean enough to trigger a PO if there was one (1 pip +spread in most cases)

I will still use the black dots on the m1 charts.

heres to a great July

Well done grant, I'm also a part time trader and if I can achieve half of your consistancy and growth from now until the end of the year I will be proud of myself. It would be nice to complete my first trading year with a profit! How many years / months have you been trading aims now out of interest? Your journals are still a really useful tool and I'm sure other will agree, keep up the good work!!

Hey Tom,

About 2 years ago Imran and i had a falling out with the owner of a strat/forum and so started work on the AIMS strategy. It took us nearly a year to get it to the flow chart level and my journal started sept last year when we were happy.

Obviously since then this forum has started and we now have some members who have helped tweak and update the strat but the core flow chart for me hasn't changed.

I'm glad you enjoy the journal and like i have said before, knowing that members will read it keeps me honest and on my toes so to speak about what set ups i trade or dont trade.

Maintain P & D, trade grade "A" set ups, stay relaxed once in a trade and the pips will follow

Evening all,

I wasn't expecting too much today with the NFP circus in town and so it proved. Watched charts for most of the London am session and saw nothing tradeable.

NFP arrived just as 4/5 m5 set ups did so again they weren't tradeable.

I was in charge of the twins during the London pm session and whilst they enjoyed an ice cream despite the rain i had a look at the charts at the Dow open and saw my only trade of the day, an EU set up 1 looking for a 5th wave down after the 3rd wave created by the news (pic below). Set a TP of 12 which was hit whilst i cleared up the kitchen.... lol

As for the week, it ended with the following :

M1

10 trades, 7 wins , 3 rents for +50 (3.84%)

M5

5 trades, 1 win, 2 rents, 2 BEs for +27 (0.67%)

Week Total +4.51%

Hope you all have a great weekend, its the twins 4th birthday party on Sunday, so 28 screaming 4 year olds in an indoor play area is what i have to look forward too.... Not exactly my idea of fun... (rofl) (rofl) (rofl)

cheers
