Tuesday 3 July
Only got an hour or so around UK open and didn't see any setups I liked. So no trades, hopefully some tomorrow!

Wednesday 4 July
Hi everyone, hope you're all well.
EU short for 0.8 pips (7.8 SL, 0.10%). Standard type 1 entry but not enough gusto to push through the 5min low, stayed in for one attempt at the break but when it bounced again I was watching my pip count and said to myself if it showed <1 pip then I'd be out, so closed when it dipped below 1.
Happy with the entry. All criticism welcome!

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal
Hi David,
took exactly the same, with a result of 1.7.
This I feel to be real progress, not to let those non-starters into rents

Dave
Well done on that one. I hope you caught the next one. That was my favourite setup. M5 Alligator recently opened and Setup 2. m1 there was Setup 1, pointed by arrows (even double arrows) and I love it more when we have entry on double aims i.e. entry level was the same for m5 and m1. A double setup (the logic of V6)
cheers

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal
I couldn't agree with you more, Immy. I want my journal to reflect these setups and these setups alone. When there is confluence between time frames we are increasing the probability of winning trades. Looking forward to v6.0 to easily highlight this confluence! Unfortunately I didn't have a lot of chart time so didn't get any other setups, but hopefully a few towards the end of the week....
Bettina, well done! Rule no. 1 in trading: Never let a winner become a loser! BE trades will never ruin your account!

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal
Thursday 5 July
Hi everyone, a small winner on a GU short. I keep telling myself to "want what the market wants" but it is a little disappointing when this setup was so promising and I walk away with a measly 0.09%.... It was an unusually large initial SL of 18 pips but trading with the H1 alli down trend, in a 5min W3, a fresh cross of ZL on M1 and breaking the 1, 5, 15 and 60min lows I was willing to make the exception. As always, never let a winner turn into a loser, and a quick retrace after showing about +7 made me close out when my platform showed <2 pips. I did have an add on set but it was wasn't triggered.
At the time of writing this the trade would have been closed on the opposite dot, or even on the trailing AIMS levels for a small loss, so a good exit in the end.
GU short for 1.6 pips (18 SL, 0.09%)
NEXT!

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal
Morning,
i have replied in Lukes journal to the same trade....
10 red candles down can only mean retrace is imminent, so exiting at BE or with a couple was a great exit....
as you said Want what the market wants
cheers
