I have to say i realy had great time on chat during 15th when I was able to trade the whole day.
Here is the last trade from 15.08.2012.

1. Aligator asleap inside the box. on 30M it was opened down and dhi give me the conffidance.
2. Blue dot.
3. AO nice around zero line
4. Sell below the box, Riski 15 pip.
5. Instantlly it went against me, I than chack the forex calendar and see there is red new coming. I decidet to ride it out and it and in full loss. After 2 nice red candles I was prepared to close it for BE but it never hapend. I was little bit too much concentrated on loss and did not oberve the chart. If I had I would see another buy oportunity (chart bellow first one) and i would recover the loss and make some more. To much looking at loss, loss, loss and I freaze. I will learne, I hope.

I did make recovery later on EU but not with AIMS strategi so I will not post.

You asked about bracketing, and this was the spot for bracketing, however, there is a BUT. We do not trade at or 10 minutes before news. we can trade shortly after news if it sets up. News trading is a different ball game. Lets stick to basics, and basic simple setups will bring us some good trades. If you're ready to lose almost 50% of the time, but lose small and win but win big, you will be given a new title in life - A Forex Trader.

Hi immy,
I am not ofraid to have lossers since there is no trading without loss trades. I am more afraid I will not lerane to be consistan and that i will not get the conffidance in the system.
I think this is biger problem.

Only fools and horses

Unread post by Sasa »

Hi,
Today again I had to take late US setion trade. So here we go:

1. Very nice aligator sleeping. Best till now that I have traded. Nice squeez.
2. Dot although green, bax was nerow so I decidet to be OK.
3. AO close to "zero" line. Buy 2,5 pip above the box, risk 13 pip
4. I noticed the resistance level and it give me exit strategy. When level is reached I will move to +5 pip
5. Box is nerrow so quick move to profirt would be good.

This is exactly what I did. Move first to BE and then to +5 pip.

Today we did not have oportunities on 5M timeframe except at 08.00 hrs Frankfurt time. And it would be nice +20 pip trade.

I like your analysis, recording and your chart looks really nice and clean. Well Done. Just one note there, after a strong move like today, its best to wait a bit longer for 4th wave to go sideways, usually 4th are made of abc (zig zag pattern) and its best to see that "mask of zoro" type of price movement e.g in this uptrend when I see a Peak of AIMS Wave and then starts to lose momentum and start coming back to ZL, i'd like to see price move down, then up and then own again, before it continues again in the direction of the trend. But in most cases if have already traded the previous 3, (strong impulse wave) i will not touch the market because I've already achieved my daily goals, and if i've missed the previous move, then I will certainly NOT trade it since now there is more risk and high probability of market staying within the sideways or retracing fourth wave. So in other others, i dont like to get into the start of a 4th wave, but I do want to be able to trade the next coming up impulse wave, if there is one, either up or down, but I do want to avoid the whipsaw/noise of 4th wave.

I hope this helps.

cheers

Dear immy,
Thanks for your comment. I am aware of that but since I have day job I can only trade the late uS setion. This is why I was extra carefull with moving SL to +5 ASAP. I am not familiar with wawes counting and I am concentrating on spoting and trading AIMS setups at the moment. When I master AIMS setups, I hope I will get better and be able to use wawes as well.

Only fools and horses

Hi traders.

Here we go. Late US setion lurker is haveing a trede. Again! :p

So here we go.

1. Very nice Aligator sleeping for some time in the box. And PA, box and aligator over the pur. line
2. Green dot, but my entery was already there from before so I decided to get entery even closer to the box 2,5 pip abowe box at 1,24745, risk 14,5 pip
3. Nice zero line AO with a fresh cross abowe zero line
4. I noticed resistance level so made decision to get to BE when we get there
5. Soon after it started to move I have my BE. This time I decided to stay with BE no meter what and not move to +5 to soon. Only when close to TP. I hade 20 pip target.
6. When it was about +17 pip I move my SL to + 10 and TP to + 30 pip because it was realy moving nicely. Before I could move TP to +40 pip I was out.

Very nice, with help of some news I guess. But I could see the price and momentum squeez building up.

I close my trading platform fot hte day.
Coffee with my wife. It is a must. When she calls all activities stop. Respect. ^:)^
Nice evening everyone.

I would love to say well done, and indeed i'm happy that you caught the move, but and there is a big BUT as big as anybody's BUTT, Do Not Trade the NEWS specially important ones like FOMC! I have seen FOMC rock the currency world many times. e.g. once I saw it move EUR/USD 124pips with a gap and down the next second to gap down another few dozens and then did nothing. other times I have seen it do things exactly like this. Lucky trade, but dont could on these again.

but I must say, I'm impressed and love the way you update your journal. I do exactly the same. I even record my thoughts using MS Note. Picture of the Setup as it looked before putting PO, at the time fo PO, after trigger, at the time of moving SL and exit. and with thoughts. I love it.

May the PIPS be with you!

Hi Immy,
I am awarew of that. Yes it was a lucky trade. But I just love to look for setups, and since tere is no other time for me to trade, I take this trades. I will be more carefulle in the future.
NFP are the worst of all. And I would not trade them. Yep, lucky.
I just cant wait for the time to come home in front of trading platform, so sometimes it is not best trading time.

Hope to be able to trade more and more.

This is the first time I realy like the setups. AIMS seems to be more logical than any strategy I have come across, so I enjoy it. Not just bunc of indicators, but there is a logical explanation behind it.

When you have a positive trade record and confidence it is much easyer to wait for oposite dot and get full proffit potential.

Good night all.

After some time I will go trhough all trades (lets say onece a mont) and try to evaluate what I see after some time. Would I be thinking the same or did my perpective changed, advanced, do I have better "view" after some time and would I take the reade from this view point.
