I seem to have got the arrows back but instead I've lost all voice alerts. Is there a sounds folder available for download?

Hi - have you checked the folder, as per the first post where it says:

comment10:"Only select Pop_Up or Voice_Alert - not both"
Just a comment referring to the options below

Pop_Up_Alert false
Pop-up alerts displays on screen messages when a signal is generated

Voice_Alert true
Plays the voice alerts (as for the previous AIMS Alerts). This will not work if you have other alert noises sounding at the same time, e.g. pop-up alerts or other indicators. Please check your Metatrader\sounds folder to make sure the wav files are in there e.g. AUDUSD_Buy_Alert_1_min.wav

If you had sound with the earlier version of this indi, you should have them with the later version

Ooops !

I'd suggest doing a fresh download of the AIMS V5 (Step 1), that should install the sound files for you http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The more I read here the more confusing it gets ?
Ok, I was running V5.1 on M1 chart, getting the dots and getting voice alerts.
I downloaded the recommended upgrades V6.1, and Setup 1 v2.

I want to have the dots, the voice alerts, and the single and double arrows, so what do I attach to my M1 chart now ?
Do I need to take V5.1 off ?
Can I add V6.1 without taking v5.1 off or do I even need V6.1 ?
Can setup 1 v2 be added to chart with V5.1 or V6.1 ?
If I only put setup 1 v2 on M1 chart without V5.1 or V6.1, do I get dots as well as arrows ?

These are the indicators you need to get what you want.
Main Chart
AIMS Box V5.1
AIMS Gator V5.2 (or v5.1)
AIMS Setup 1 V2 Advanced (This is the V6.1 Upgrade)
AIMS Entry Alert V5.1 (If you want sound for all the dots, keep the sound option or the pop up option turned to True on this one. Remember you cannot turn on both Sound Alert and Pop Up alert. If you want separate sound alerts for S1 Alert you have to either turn one off or keep sound alert for one and pop up for the other)
Indicator Window 1
AIMS Wave V5.1 (or Snorm eWaves V1.0 - If you have it)

Hi Tony

There isn't too much explanation required but that it is a dot that indicates that price is going back in the Gator's mouth or coming out of it but going towards the purple line. Now if you understand that the purple is the red line of the M5 gator, this would tell you that you may be going against the trend on m5. We don't want to go against it. Allow me to copy and paste from the "what's new in V5 and V5.1 upgrade" topic.

"2. Purple Filter? What are the Black Diamonds?
The Entry Alert allows for by default to filter all the dots against the purple. This feature can be switched on and off. While I do not recommend trading against purple there may be others who just love trading against it for whatever reasons. When Purple filter is on you will see a Black Diamond instead of a coloured dot. This shows that the dot is against the purple. By default there is no sound or popup alert for Black Diamonds."

If I am trading on M5 chart and get a black dot signal and all other setup rules are right except purple line, is it ok to enter the trade, since purple line is really only for M1 chart trades ? Sometimes looking at the gator it's the blue and red dots that seem to be in the wrong direction and the black dot signal turns out to be a nice move for a good 10-15 pip trade.

any comments on this situation would be appreciated, I have only been trading Aims for 2 weeks, thanks !

I can write a long answer but I think It would be better if I keep it simple and short. If you're new to trading in general and to AIMS I would suggest ignore the diamond trades for now. Once you know you have mastered the normal dot trades a time will come when you'll know how to trade the diamond trades. In short, if you see a 1-5 wave complete and interested in a reversal trade or if there is a black dot setup that may help you catch a potential 5th wave you may use this. But lets not get into those too early. But then again if you are confident and you want to give it a shot, there is no harm in it. The key is to be 100% disciplined with your lot size i.e. keep em below 1% and keep your Rent Exits as close as possible. Never Ever lose more than 1% of your account on a single trade. I can safely say, never ever lose more than 10 pips (extreme) on m1 chart under any circumstances.

ps: purple line is part of the setup, once your eyes get used to it, you wont be comfortable trading without it. its all about training your eyes and getting used to spotting setups before they blast off. Once the setup has gone past its initial part and you've seen it move nicely, it is easy to spot those setups. They key is to train your eyes to how the charts look before they move.
