Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
Nice stuff Immy,
Something I thought of in hindsight after today. Possibly with the larger amounts of money out of FX today, that created a new opportunity as less liquidity requires less money to create the "chaos" that this method works so well in??
Have a great christmas and enjoy the break at whatever point you will be having one. I will be having some reflection time. Looking over what I have done well, and what opportunities also exist to improve \m/

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
And another one about Forex. An older video but good .
Just check those old machines! Imagine how our kids will laugh at our computers! haha
The Honk Kong Guys trade 21 million pounds long position, that would be roughly around 210 lots in our margin based accounts. So we don't need to has 21 million in our accounts today, rather a mere portion of it is enough to control a million dollar account. e.g. if you want to trade 1lot per trade you'd need 100K in your account to trade it, and how has that sort of money? so a 100K account with 1:10 margin can control a million dollar account and so can a 10K account with 1:100 margin. So A person with 100K with a 1:100 margin can control hundred of millions of dollars! Ever thought about that?
Movie Time: 15.00 "the market is having a small breather but the dealers cannot afford to lose their concentration for a minute, they started at 7 in the morning and they are going to finish at 5 and the market whether its quite or busy they have to keep their adrenaline level going, they've got to make sure their concentration is there, just in case the market turns around"
and then Richard goes on to make 75 thousand pounds investing 35 million pounds within a few minutes. Would you say they are trading a minute chart? "Richard says, "took about 3 minutes"
In the end Richard manages to make the bank over 100K trading 75million pounds. In new york they sit and wait for opportunity all day.

Sometimes I wonder whether this video, which I have seen a couple times, is a bit made up THe market in dollars has always been bigger than one or two NY banks playing it off against a Russian bank. Anyway the thought of trading without charts, purely on fundamentals, with no regard for MAs, S/R, Elliott Waves, etc
Things are different now, but it still a battle of wits.
I wish more people would come on here to share something on their journals
IF YOU CANT EXPLAIN IT SIMPLY YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT WELL ENOUGH (Einstein)
1% daily gain, compounded for 250 trading days, (approximately one year) would produce 1103% account growth
"Markets reflect the positioning of the sum total of investors – they are not driven by something an individual investor knows that the rest of us don’t, but they do to an extent reflect what investors think other investors are thinking and so can diverge in the shorter term from the economic fundamentals."

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
This is a reality show type of program but oh yes, a very good video to watch. I'd like everyone to watch it. They have captured the essence of what every new trader goes through and alot of us will be able to identify with these traders. We may all see commonalities. The impatience, the cockyness, the idiotic approach, simons wonkerness, (poor fella) chleo's nerves etc etc.Kyle wrote:Thanks for those Immy,
I will watch them over the next day or so.
Another good one that I have seen is "Million Dollar Traders"
[
This was quite interesting seeing differing styles and the ultimate conclusion of the project
So I totally agree, it was very interesting, loved it. Gets quite boring in the second episode but you soon get over that as trading is just that. There is not much fancy stuff attached to it. you just gotta find an instrument believe in something and just do it. And in the end Patience and Discipline is the Holy Grail!
once again
Merry Christmas and lets have a fantastic new year and make loads of pips.

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
Kyle!
Did you notice at the end Lex says that he had a negative month and they beat him! So can you see what we are doing here? When we have less than 5% growth or if have a break-even or slightly losing month, do we ever worry? but I can assure you, once you learn to put the correct trades and filter the bad ones, using, of course, the rules, if you learn to remain disciplined, you will hardly ever have a losing week, a losing month would be very hard to hit! but it may happen! still in the long run! The Strategy is Sound! its a Magical Christmassy Strategy! its a key to making money, if only you just let yourself trade it. If only you just trust your own amazing abilities and let it flow out! let the magic of YOU, amaze you. !
All the best and here is another wish for a great new year and a merry merry christmas!

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
Hi Immy,
Just a quick question as it may be a mistake I am making with things. I know we trade away from the purple line which this trade does, but is the purple also meant to be going in the same direction, or am I reading too much into the rules and making it harder for myself??
As always, thanks for your advise and help
