Hi Immy,
with EJ I have the problem of 3 pips spread, but when I see the move, this shouldn't matter. Or I should really go to pepperstone. But I'm not used to EJ.
But I had a little more luck today
+ 9 on GU and + 8 on EU, both below M5 Aims level. That finishes my day with + 3.2 %, which I hadn't for a very long time.

That's enough for today !

Immy, yes, I see. That's exactly one of those I never dare to. Good to know.

Had 10.2 pips on EU and am proud to have recognized a w2 (????????????????), or something that looked like it

BTW, the white marked candles are Divergence Candles. If anyone is interested ...
The parameter PrevBars allows, that for bearish DC the high is not only higher than the high of the previous bar, but of the last PrevBar bars ( bullish vice versa ).

Shame on me : There was something wrong with the divergent candle indicator. Hope this one is correct now.
New name BDC.
Sorry for that !

Sorry for my ignorance, Bettina. Could you please explain the BDC indicator again, i.e. what are the parameters that differentiate the bar as a BDC? I just wasn't sure what you meant by "not only higher than the high of the previous bar, but of the last PrevBar bars".

Thankyou!

Hi Dave,

Sorry, it really wasn't clear.
Immys rule for BDC is :
Bearish Div Candle
a ) High is higher than the high of the previous candle ( higher than 1 preceding candle : PrevBar = 1 is standard now )
b ) Close is lower than the high of the previous candle
c ) Close is in the lower half of the candle

Bullish vice versa :
a ) Low is lower than the low of the previous candle ( lower than 1 preceding candle : PrevBar = 1 is standard now )
b ) Close is higher than the low of the previous candle
c ) Close is in the upper half of the candle

Just in case you feel, there are to many, you can change prevBar to 2 or 3. This affects only point a ) : candle high must then be higher than the high ( low must be lower than the low ) of the 2 or 3 preceding candles.
Usually it catches the top/bottom candles also.

But standard is the above a) - c ).
Hope this is better now ?

For me it was interesting to see :
When do they appear, but more how often do they appear, are they good for exits......

Bettina

Thanks Bettina for your thorough explanation, and yes Immy I have read the journal post a couple times. I was more questioning the theory/code of the indicator.

Thanks!
