Hi Aimsters

Only one trade today, I missed the pre LO opportunities.

I thought the Angulation on the short Fruit was sufficient, therefore my entry reasoning was flawed.

As Immy rightly pointed out in the Chat Room, entry should have been on potential end of W2 into W3.

I am definitely starting to see the benefit of keeping a journal and participating in the Chat Room, I struggle to place multiple trades with the same level of focus. Today I made a trading error I put 2 pips as my SL instead of 20 pips, consequently missing out on 50+ pips. Its only been just over a week and I can identify some of my patterns, looking for to the process of discovery.

The journal is like a mirror, if you are 100% honest with yourself you can uncover some wonderful insights.

Hi Aimsters

No trades during the London Session :-q

I opened my chart at around 08:05 the market had moved up sharply at the LO, for some unknown reason I thought there would be no other opportunities in the London Session, I realised not long after that I made another rookie mistake. Upon reading Michael Zlabis journal this evening I immediately noticed that all of his London Session trades were placed after I unanimously decided the session was over. [-x

Surrender!

" If you don’t take a flight or fight approach you may surrender to the situation and allow the threat to do whatever it wants to you. You may then experience feeling such as Grief, Depression, and Unworthiness, Fear and Powerlessness."
Very powerful and accurate words Immy!!

My trading times are usually 07:00 - 10:00 (GMT), I decided for the first time since starting my journal to place a trade in NY Session 18:30-19:30 (GMT).

Lessons:

Let the market tell you there are no opportunities not the other way around!!!

I've had my mind so fixated on the FO, LO and London Session that I have completely ignored the NY Session which is still active at 18:00 (GMT)!!!

Read fellow Aimsters journals, It is brilliant that I can actually see how those trades could have panned out.

Hi Aimsters

Four trades four rents.

First trade was a Fruit SELL, no Angulation, quickly stopped out

Second trade re-entry of first trade, still hadn’t spotted there was no Angulation, quickly stopped out again.

Third trade add on from 10:16 (GMT) Fruit, large Aims, entry almost 20 pips from Fruit signal.

Fourth trade SAR of third trade Fruit with good angulation, missed the resistance to the left.

Decide to call it a day so I missed the long move; still have a way to go in terms of my entries. I left the chart feeling content, as I was not angry.

-40 is nothing mate... its normal. But thats what happens when you trade Sideways markets. I allow myself to try 2 times to catch a wave. if both attempts fail. I wait for next wave. but for that you have to be able to distinguish between one wave and the other? how do we do that? Simple. For Setup 1 From Cross of Zero Line to Peak. For Fruit: From Peak to Peak on the other side. :)

Thanks Immy, I've been thinking today that if I can just maintain this journal and constantly review the forum I will see a marked improvement in my trading.

Hi Aimsters

Choppy conditions initially after FO, then loads of volatility in anticipation of EUR and GBP news.

Two pip positive trades, which is nice after yesterday. Again I missed the big moves in both directions!!! :-q

1 thing
I will not accept that "m5 fruit" trade excuse. there is no such thing discussed in the fruit strategy nor will you find me trading a fruit on m5 and managing it on m1. why do we need to complicate things?
another thing, stop finding excuses and justifying "wrong" "mistake" trades. The first fruit long was correct, add on was good. exit of both those longs should have been where you "SAR" short trade. basically that SAR is wrong as well because the long you took was not a fruit trade. there is no such thing as "trying" the add on again. the Long that you did not take was again a very powerful fruit signal.

i hope this helps.
