Trading is a Pattern Recognition Numbers game, a game of Probabilities. When a variable is absent your edge does not exist. If you knew that London won't be trading it then you had no edge hence any trading today was, shooting blind fold. It hits or miss, does not matter. Though it make sense to have traded FO as their markets were open. And Paul traded FO with good success.

Hope you get my point...

may the pips be with you!

May, Wednesday 5th

GM fellow traders,

even if the first trade is not reported on my chart, you guys can see the 1st fruit i took around 09:30 where i drawn the angle; i added on before LO but was stopped out at the opening

the opening gave us a short fruit, plus the breakout of the box; i even increased my position at what seemed to be a breakout of the box to the downside (10:06) but all my position was stopped at Green line

Now the fruits permitted to take some longs, which i did (only) at the breakout of the box but it was a failed breakout. fortunately, the short fruit around 10:10 gave a nice result : i respected the rules for the exit and profited from the fruit to exit 1 lot and plateform was frozen for a long moment where you are in position and exited 2d lot

Around 10:25, i bracketed the box as it could go either way and was executed both side : the short was stopped out but the Long fruit, maybe was a principle C, was in profit for a moment, we gave it air to breath but were forced to exit at break even

last one, was a long after box broke and brought me some Reward; exit below fruit, green line and box, again not possible to keep it any longer

many rents for me today, but i don't see major errors or things i could had avoided

what i learned was the interest to trade small, so i was still kicking for the last and best one; by trading futures contracts, i would had passed on it very quickly

stay safe guys :ymcowboy:

May, 6th

GM guys,

today, i ran mainly 3 campaigns :

firstly, during FO, i took classic setup at the break of the box, followed by an add-on, that i had to close above the green line; my exit for the 1st entry was above the box but got 7p slippage when my order was filled :-(

then, LO gratified us with an correct openning : Long fruit over there was a nice spot to enter + Add-on the breakout of the box : close this position in bonus quickly as a short fruit appeared

the 3d campaign i took was to the short side : took the short fruit with hesitation because i wasn't quite sure to act as per the rules, so i exited for a scratch trade (discipline guys ;-)) The classical set up was the obvious and brought me 60pips

that's it for today
to be followed

Hey,

if you're still reading me, that's certainly that you like what i see and how i describe it : these lines are four you

Hold on! today's gonna be fascinating : my longest trade as far as scalping - daytarding is concerned

In fact, i entered short on the 1st bar i.e. FO & LO's High : i've never ever ever handle a method that gave me a short at the first bar at the high of the next 2 hours.
I had an Add-on on this campaign but half of my position was quickly cut off with the Long fruit

Anyway, i trailed the stop for the 2d half and exited just before London's Opening. I was looking for a coffee in the kitchen at that time, had my stop above AIMS box (to tell you how stress free i am now, AIMS :-bd ) and killed my short myself by seeing a new box has been created and was broken (just before LO, on the chart)

Then, i tried a short @ LO - the initial fruit from LO was too quick for me to enter-, so i took the breakout of the box, which worked nicely before Londonners went in sideway mode :-s and exited for a scratch
entered again at the breakout of the box but paid a small rent and left for the day my computer to meet clients outside

see you tomorrow guys (hug)

May 8th,

Good morning guys,

this friday wasn't so interesting as far as results were concerned : i mean, many trades were stopped out for a small rent, on the other side of the box,

i respected the rules (fruit or classical breakout), so i guess we can classify them in 'good trades, bad income'

anyway, no big deal, account has not being damaged : we really need some campaigns to capitalise on our initial entry, what we didn't get on May 8th, so i stopped when i found on that LO wasn't much better than FO : chart :-(

May, 11th

Good Morning fellow traders,

when FO opened today we got no gap but 2 big red candles, indicating some selling : so, i took the breakout of the box and even added-on but was quickly stopped out

if so, an abc corrective wave could be running : so, shorted what i suspected to be top of 2, where 2 fruits indicated me the entry: trade gave me some pips to erase previous rent but not much follow thru

just before the exit, i was short with the described trade and long on the fruit : as i just mentioned it, short has been closed (by the candle above green line) and the long fruit exited at break even

At this stage, we were mainly bouncing in a range but the fruit was another chance to get short at the end of a flat wave 2 : missed the fruit entry but took the breakout which was stopped out because of no follow thru:
lacks of Momentum started to be obvious

took the 2 next entries for almost scratch-rents trades and stopped for this news-event day because Ecofin ministers can release news at any time of the day and ranging bound price action is gonna last till something pops up...

Bye for now :-h

May, 12th

Greetings traders,

Early at FO, i traded a fruit but exited as the box broke : small rent

as the momentum was to the downside, all breakout of the box should had been taken : missed the 2 first ones but finally pulled the trigger at third one; by doing this (missing the 2 previous breakout), i messed up my campaign : it's not a game where you earn money by being right once but rather by participating to campaigns.
at least, made some money at the breakout of the box, whereas small position on a long fruit was quickly stopped out

LO wellcame us/me with a fruit to the short side but the Trade Management EA stopped me out too early above green line, so i re-entered at the breakout of the box with a bigger position (scaling in) and got a nice winner; this time again, the long fruit was taken with a very small position and quickly exited.

Around 10:30 (@AA), when box broke, my plateform freezed and order couldn't be executed immediately which gave me huge slippage, cut off the trade above green line and was done for the day

result +9 pip (positions as small as 0.2 and 0.5 to handle it without any stress)
always happy to learn,

Cheers

Hey Guys,

Because i was lacking coffee, i missed for 1s second the first fruit on the 2d bar of the day : order hit but not filled [-x
then, breakout of the box below gator should had done the job for a phase 3 but it costed me a rent
as market reversed to the upside without any fruit entry and a risky breakout trade (box below gator).
Next breakout of the AIMS box resulted in a scratch trade.

LO gave us a Long fruit which went no where, but triggered its stop: at this time, i SAR so went short at the breakout of the box : quite hard to manage and the retracement to green gator made me exit too early as it hasn't even close above it. lucky traders who stayed in, i know some in the room, were very happy and had a great campaign.

Even best things have an end and the short campaign met a fruit which seems to announced end of wave 5, so possible longs there : rush my self into it and got 47 pips on it \m/
my exit was the next fruit as i was trailing the candles and we were too extended (rubber band)

So, i closed the week with a beauty; tomorrow is thursday of Ascension, most of european markets will be closed and friday has 9 chances/10 to have low volume (low volatility possible), kinda 'trading a saturday' :-T

Ok guys, have all a great week end :-h
