GU broke out nicely on friday and cleared all the levels to the left. D1 also shows momentum bar with no level. I have missed friday's move.
Today morning 02:00 was kind of first signal Seed within same wave which has started on friday. I saw momentum bars after that, 04:00 created new lower low and perfect two candle pullback. I have ran through all 7 Rules and all of them were ticking box. Placed PO below 07.00 and hit 3R. Good to start new challenge with winning trade.

Nice One Sam... a 3% profit will allow you to take 3 more trades and still be above the 0 line.

Very lucky trade but still very well played. Lets make sure ee make entries within 1st of 2nd pullback.

GU broke out nicely on 25th. It was fresh break on Daily too. It was on my watch list. i started following pair, EMA cross over happened around 06:00 then impulse move took place around 09:00 and 10:00, by that time i knew it's fresh impulse move, near to previous lower low, there was high chance of breakout.

11:00 seed was perfect entry and kind of first within wave. Placed PO and left with ATM. PO kicked in and hit nice 3R.

Back to back win and now sitting at 6%. Amazing feeling.

When you lose you will see that your charts won't look like this ...

Look at this chart. it is OBVIOUSLY IN A DOWN TREND. ...

Yet, you will find yourself and you will other traders trading inside trading ranges... tis just ridiculous to know that people just won't stick to the plan.

The banana is a pullback entry mechanism and it is used to time an entry " INTO A TREND".... so why would you use this entry method within a Trading Range??? i just don't get it.

Having said that, I make the same mistake from time to time...

Perhaps its a human condition...

Allow me to Disagree with you on this...

100% Disagree.....

It's not about the template

You DID Not follow the 7 Rules.... tha't sit.

This is NOT the Banana setup. You DO NOT need the Setup template....

Do not allow your brain to find excuses for your mistakes ... when you make an "error" trade...

Do not mistrust the strategy or the system... it has been fully back tested and proven

You have back tested it as well... and why would you trade a strategy that is not backtested? so, you have ...

And so what if you lost this trade?

So what?

its JUST ONE TRADE

Even if it was a Good, there is still a change you get a losing trade... so what? ... NEXT NEXT NEXT

Saw this EU trade after nice trend candle. Let's put this through flow chart.
Rule 1 - Is there an Impulse Wave ?
Ans - Yes. candle 03.00 was trend candle broke previous swing lows. 04.00 created lower low but it was sort of pinbar. There was nice pullback of 2-3 candles after that. 08.00 pinbar was confirmation so i placed my PO

Rule 2 - Is the Impulse move climatic ?
Ans - No

Rule 3 - Is there a clean one-legged pullback ?
Ans - yes

Rule 4 - Is pullback Impulsive ?
Ans - No

Trade hit the target of 3R. Overall i am happy with execution.

Score - DS 1
Setup Score (Out of 10) - 7

You should know that it was a lucky trade. It is not a simple 1 legged pullback. It has only 1 trend candles and a complex 2 legged pullback. just saying, anyway, great trade my friend. I would rather go for trades with clean clear trend nothing to the left like UJ last night.

Tried this trade from H4. It was my first H4 trade.

Rule 1 - Is there an Impulse Wave ?
Ans - Yes. Yesterday 17:00 bar.
Rule 2 - Is the Impulse move climatic ?
Ans - No. It wasn't.

Rule 3 - Is there a clean one-legged pullback ?
Ans - yes. There was perfect two candles pullback. There was no Banana Signal. Only Seed signal was available when price pulled back.
Rule 4 - Is pullback Impulsive ?
Ans - No

My post analysis suggesting only one mistake as there as no Banana signal but Seed. My entry was based on Seed but pattern was perfect.
Looking forward to someone's feedback here specially @iMi.

stop fecking around with H4 time frame.

It is NOT part of your fecking trading plan. You are supposed to trade on the H1 and take the correct setups. And look for 1 good trade a day. You caught EU, then you over traded with EJ and this. stop this bullshit. Focus on your method.

Rule 1: 1 Trade ONLY.
Rule 2: 1 Time Frame Only.

Filtering Signals using Higher Time Frame

Unread post by immy »

I would suggest that you filter signals manually using a 50ema line. If you think it might just be just a pullback on H4 chart then don't take the trade against the 50 ema. If you think that trend is either Turning on the H4 or the signal looks good overall then you can ignore the 50ema. hope it makes sense .

We are using 10ema as our main filter so 50ema will be good for filtering the 10 ema of the htf.

This was late entry and was within support.

Rule 1 - Is there an Impulse Wave ?
Ans - During Asian session bar 03:00 & 04:00 created wave however it was relatively small. No

THERE IS NO IMPULSE WAVE

Rule 2 - Is the Impulse move climatic ?
Ans - Rule 1 did not meet. Not Applicable

Rule 3 - Is there a clean one-legged pullback ?
Ans - Rule 1 did not meet. Not Applicable

Rule 4 - Is pullback Impulsive ?
Ans - Rule 1 did not meet. Not Applicable

Score - DS 0
Setup Score (Out of 10) - 5

This is that bad impulsive trade. Gotta make this a goal to correct these lapses of concentration. Error trade. NEXT
