Traded same trade. Not bad.Was a great day for trading, and did not do that well.Im about your level my friend. Its a great system but there is a learning curve to be able to pull of the trades live im finding. Its easy to look back at data.Should of been a 50 plus day.I think 50 pips per day is very possible trading AIMS just got to keep hammering like you live,Love your journal.

Hey there Kubrick! Nice to meet you!
Yeah, you got that right! I can only agree with you. This system is a great one and what makes it great is the fact that there is discretion involved which makes it more complicated than other systems to master than mechanical systems that I don't trust at all. Thanks for the support mate and hope to hear from you often! We can learn togheter you know :) Have a great start of the week and see ya soon friend!

You got it right. mechanical systems dont work in markets at all.Im lucky to have traded for a few years but not with great success but have an eye for price action these days. The discretion part of this system is to me the skill part. You master this and your on your way to complete freedom. Its almost like putting your personality to AIMS.

For example i went short at 11.18 mt4 time, waited for price to go under aimsgator then in,this is a skillful discretion trade, but a good trade, low risk AO zero and with the trend,i go for these type of trades.I got a few other dirty moves like this, but as you say this is the skill part/discretion. The rewarding thing is looking at your trades im trading most of your setups lol.So its either a good thing or bad thing lol.

We will make it my friend.

Yeah, seems we're on the same wave here. And we share the same trades too. If that's good or bad, well, only the equity curve will tell haha! :)
I'm having a last look at the markets for today, after that I will call it a day and come back tomorrow morning. See ya soon mate :)

This morning was a disaster and I clearly have to discipline my emotions a bit more. The big move early this morning clearly frustrated me and I was desperately eyeing for a Wave 4 so I could enter on a Wave 5 downwards. When I thought Wave 4 had come to an end I entered aggresively and even went over what is Stop Loss PIP limit. Wave 4 continued its course upwards and I was closed out for -16 PIPs.
EMOTIONS! EMOTIONS! EMOTIONS! Got to keep 'em quiet! :P

Hi there,

without getting too technical on EW, the 1 - 5 you have labeled on the m5 IMHO is only 1-3. 3rd waves are broken down into 1 - 5 waves on the next lower TF.

So on the m1 at that time we have a complete 1-5 sequence which completes a wave 3 on m5...

i hope i explained that ok..

cheers

I've just re read that answer above and it doesnt read well.

So i have labelled a chart to show what i mean.

Attached is the EU m5 of the same move you posted with what i think the count is. Black numbers are the m5 waves (solid white line) and white are the m1 waves (dotted white lines)

Remember until the AO crosses 0 then we do not have a 4th wave. If it pulls back to 0 but doesnt cross then we are "most probably" looking at a 4trh wave of m1...

Obviously i have the benefit of a couple hours more candles to look at so hindsight is great, but if AO doesnt cross 0 then its not a 4th wave on that TF...

cheers

Grant

Thanks Grant for the input and I must say I agree with you. Here's my second trade for the day that went a bit better and netted 10 PIPs.
Based on a Setup 1 to attempt to enter into a Wave 3. According to Grant's count I would be entering into a Wave 3 of aWave 5 which is good too. Unfortunately the trade was exited also due to emotion which seems to have the upper hand today. I think this will be my last trade for today.

The above trade was based on what was believed to be a Wave 3, but this is proved wrong as you can see on the chart below. I think we still are in the Wave 4 as outlined by Grant.
