Re: DOWNLOAD: VE_AIMS Trade Management EA
I welcome all this kind of minor tweaks! These maybe not sound important features but for me, these might save the trade. Just an example: I'm using VPS and iPad for trading. When moving SL level you have to do it of course carefully. But when using remote desktop connection you might encounter many problems: VPS server is lagging, 3G connection lags, network connection drops and double tapping/dragging etc are more difficult via finger than desktop mouse. Everything is still doable and very easy but there are simply technical reasons that can prevent you from moving for example SL level. That might ruin your trade. Therefore small but important tweak in the EA might save your day.
Bottom line: we always manage, but it's always worth of asking Ian.
Kind regards
Tomi

I see you are using an iPad to trade M1. How do you manage your trades? M1 moves that fast I only use my iPad for H1 and H4. I would be interested to see how you do it.

What is it?
This is a Trade Management Expert Advisor. It is available in the public domain. (This is not part of your purchase).
Having printed the above, we are in process of finalising a TM EA hopefully by the end of April we might have something that would do exactly what you suggest, (we already have a beta working version) . Will announce when the time is right!
cheers

Re: DOWNLOAD: VE_AIMS Trade Management EA
Hi Richard
For me critical elements are:
- In MetaTrader VE_AIMS for easy SL/TP moving.
- For iPad SW I use Remoter. Quite easy to double tap and drag horizontal lines. There is a macro functionality that could be utilized for running scripts (like closing trades) in MetaTrader, but I haven't tried that.
- For connections I prefer WLAN, or at least good 3G network.
- For entries I'm using email alerts. I was requesting this from Immy/Steve and thank you that this feature(!!!). When alert comes, I open remoter and check the charts. It will take couple of seconds to check if there are trades forming.
- Resolution is 1024x768 and I keep M1 window bigger than M5. I don't have 100-140 candles in view but maximizing M1 window and disabling chart shift, I get 120 candles. Few taps in the screen and it's doable.
It's not that easy measure AIMS levels etc and Steve's indicator is really a life saver as it shows AIMS level straightly.
VPS connection is not always that responsive if compared to local MetaTrader in desktop machine and this requires a bit nerves

Thanks for your reply.
I use Teamviewer to remotely connect to my pc when I am away from it I assume remoter is a similar thing? When I am away from my pc I cannot give M1 the attention it deserves and therefore do not trade it that way. I do keep an eye on my H1 and H4 trades and the problem I find is it is very difficult to measure the pip difference. Does remoter offer some control over this?

Re: DOWNLOAD: VE_AIMS Trade Management EA
Hi Richard
Not used Teamviewer but seemed to be similar than Remoter - remote use of Windows. In Remoter you can get similar mouse as is used in laptop machines. Touchpad is floating on top on Windows and semi transparent in the UI. You can see floating touchpad on the second snapshot in iPad images, please see the link below. With that it's quite easy to measure pip differences. A bit slow usage and definitely not that easy as in desktop machine but doable. Network connection affects to UI responsiveness and to how easy it is to measure.
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/remoter- ... 26098?mt=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
FYI: You most likely have to purchase also RDP Add On $3.99
Not the best explanation, but I did my best
BTW....the reason I'm using this approach is the full time job. It's the only way to trade for me. Because of work oblications I miss a lot of trades. But that's ok - you got to do what you got to do

Have you thought of trying the higher timeframes you can use the same approach but with a lot less hassle.

Re: DOWNLOAD: VE_AIMS Trade Management EA
I'm using M1 for a reason. I have a plan to get a long holiday in end of this year. I'm right now getting as much as possible competence in M1 beforehand and later when I have free time during London session, I'm ready
So, M1 for specific learning purpose. Otherwise H1 would be perfect.
