I'll do something like this in the future. But the price might go really high! I have plan for exactly such a thing on myfxbook. But I'll do that when account is over +100K. My 5 year plan states. Once account hits 100K - I'll start managing a fund. For that I'll need myfxbook or just my mt4 statements.

ps: Hopefully by Aug i should hit 100K.

Hi Immy,
It's going back a bit but did you hit your Aug 2013 target on time. If not I'm sure you hit it eventually. The point with targets is to keep them flexible. As long as you hit them !

I wondered if you had then developed the managed fund .. or started working in The City ! Nice staff job with a free multi-coloured jacket. Yeah , that'd suit you, right ! :))
You gotta be kidding me, "started working in the city" the morons. I've no interest in working for anyone. I will NOT work for anyone EVER. that's why I started working for myself and left my job in 2009. I did almost hit my target and decided to invest some money in export business. I've lost money in the export business and currently winding up the business. Its hard job physical businesses. Cost me a lot of trading time and money. I don't think I'll ever trade anyone else's money. Its just not my style.

cheers

I thought you'd find the idea of being a City boy amusing. I respect you for what you have done. I too did the same thing also in 2009.

I believe It's the only way you can really be fulfilled. Certainly for me anyway.

Sorry to hear about the export business. Physical businesses are very, very hard. The administration alone is a full time job and with a family too ... but we always push ourselves and try knew endeavours. Some turn out better than others but it's always nice to look back even on the ones that failed with a philosophical outlook.

You know you will have grown from the experience and that's the most important thing.

Cheers

Yes, I did learn a lot from it. Firstly I learned that I am blessed to have a trading business as well as a bit of pocket money coming from memberships as . I am grateful. The amount of effort that goes into a business is phenomenal. No amount of profit is worth it. But The second thing I learn is, now whenver I have a lossin trading, its somehow even easier for me to bear. Because everyone losses money here and there and makes money based on the losses. Some deals we don't make monye at all, other deals make a great deal of money. Whats important is the right side of the p&l. Whatt does it say at the end of a certain period. I does not matter how well you did on a week or daily basis, or a trade or deal basis, what matters is that the grand total of your balance sheet shows growth and the grand total of your P&L is main contributor to the growth... All is well here..
