Re: Seabreeze Journal
I didn't take any trades in the US session as none of of the signals quite made the grade enough for me to want to enter them and I already take 2% this morning, so look forward to the London open tomorrow,

Re: Seabreeze Journal
The London open was a steady push pull kind of morning that did give a steady move to the upside and reading the AO on 5M and 1M charts was looking to take buy signals at the time. A seed signal arrived at 10:34 and pending order was set but very soon paid a rent on this occasion. Although looked like a nice seed signal, I did slightly bend a rule on this trade so I will be giving myself a slap and a DS score of 0 for this one.
Just to say, sorry that I don't participate in skype as much as I would like to. I am usually signed in but business and trading soak up my time every now and then.

Re: Seabreeze Journal
This US Session was a difficult one and although a slow slope up there was never really any momentum. Cherry signal came at 15:18 and looked like it was going to be a nice set up after a good steady pullback and looked like price was bouncing off the previous Aims boxes. PO was set and price soon set my trade to a break even pont, but just as quickly price reversed to close the order at BE.
After that I was only going to place another trade if the markets burst into life and show me a definite strong direction, but that didn't happen so decided to call it a day and catch up on some jobs.

Re: Seabreeze Journal
Well this was an pleasant session with new template to trade with. Less is more and never a true word said today.
Very crisp and vey clean and I can see Immy's reasons for calling it The HUNT, because the candles are like blades of grass and we are like Lions hiding in the grass waiting to pounce when a juicy morsel is near. When it comes to us we grab it and run. Well that's enough of that I will be writing books next lol.
London open was pleasant enough with steady slope to the down side and with the help of the new indies was able to cut out some of the noise in the low volatility periods.
I was able to take two orders today and both of them produced break even trades, so was a nice way to break in the new template. I am off to buy a Christmas tree now. I still get excited about buying one every year even after all these years.
would like to take this chance to personally thank all those involved in developing Aims. I appreciate the fact that days and days, weeks and weeks, months and months, years and years have gone into all this. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Re: Seabreeze Journal
This was a steady enough US session with nice clean price action in a downward slope and so was able to enter two stress free trades both producing 2% profit each, Both had the usual 1% risk. I am done for the week and off the decorate my tree for the festive period.
Have a great weekend guys.

Re: Seabreeze Journal
Hey John!
What a way to kick start the Hunt!!! I loved your observation about calling the Hunt. If you have not, and if you can, please watch BBC programme The Hunt!!! Fascinating stuff!!! Nature, the wild life, depends on statistical odds. Most predictors fail more than 50% of the time, most successful trading strategies have less than 50% win rate. A wild cat trying to catch birds fails 9 out of 10 times (reversal based systems). A Tiger fails 50% of the time. Below 50% is the norm in nature....
A Tiger hunting in the forest, must get at least 10M close to its prey "un-noticed" [no pending orders, we are just watching]. then when its found its spot, It does NOTHING.... So when its London Open, we found our Spot. We do nothing. We are in the 10M Zone. Then the tiger waits and "LETS THE PREY COME TO IT". A trader waits for the market to come to [it]. As the prey comes near the tiger, it must turn around and takes ONE STEP IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION [THE SEED AND THE CHERRY SIGNAL] After this, the tiger DOES NOT HESITATE and pounces as quick as possible [ATM AUTO or MANUAL CLICK]... After that... just EAT EAT EAT!!!!
Have a great weekend

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".
Yo, banana boy!

Re: Seabreeze Journal
Thanks Immy
Yes so true how everything in life is connected with probabilities and trading is no different. Once you understand that trading is a combination of pattern recognition, probabilities and discipline (just like a Lion hunt ) your trading improves no end.
I have watched a few episodes of The Hunt and plan to watch the others over Christmas period on catch up TV. It's a really good series with excellent camera work.
Have a good one

Re: Seabreeze Journal
This is the first trade of the week London open when a cherry signal appeared at 10:30 everything fitted my trading plan so I set pending order and soon into the trade, but price soon reversed and I paid my first rent of the week but DS1 bring on the next one.
Because this week can be a little dodgy for trading I have dropped my risk to 1/2 % and stop trading for Christmas period after the end of this week or sooner if price action is poor
