Reflection on Badge 5

Unread post by ganesha04 »

Reflection on Badge 5:
My goal was to work on my TM and find a TM I can stick to: Tick. I have got a strong TM in place.

Key Learnings:
1. Stick to Dax M1; I ventured into currencies, 6 screens etc. All very exciting but I want to make money and not get a thrill out of trading 10000 pairs...
2. It's all about the M5 and split-screen; in fact, M1 isn't that important, M1 is just there to pick an entry according to my rules. M5 is the one to watch and to follow; M5 is momentum, M5 is seeing once price breaks out of a range; M5 is telling me whether we are entering a new impulse wave... It's all about M5.
3. The only factor which is going to break or make me in this game is my energy capacity; my ability to emotionally deal with the ups and downs; my ability to keep my mental health strong and avoid burnouts frequently. I still have a long way to go and learn in this area.
4. Rest: I am going to introduce a mandatory 4 day break after every badge; rest is the best time for your body to take a break and give you the answers and tips. Not taking rest, is like going to the gym to bench press every day, i.e. pointless. You have to break our muscles and then give it nutrition and rest to grow stronger. Same applies to trading.

Goal:
1. Work out a strong mental strategy plan to keep my energy levels strong.
2. Don't get distracted, stick to my plan and not my impulses and to get ready for the big game.

I suggest Counting R profits from now... you should now focus if you are MAKING profit or not... DS1 is Still main priority but we also keep track of R profits...

4/20 Dax Long S1

Unread post by ganesha04 »

1. Trade Number: 4/20 Batch 6
2. Date/Time: 28/04/2020 - Morning Session
3. Symbol/TF: DAX
4. Signal Type / Direction: Long S1
5. Setup Type: A
6. The situation on M5: In hindsight kind of a 1-2 into 3
7. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: S1 formed beautifully and all criteria met. Took first entry, stopped out according to my rules; took the 2nd entry, stopped out according to my rules and that was it for me
8. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Price jumped and went on a crazy ride but hey nothing I could do here; I played everything correct and I am proud of myself for not having any guilt about missing out. It's just another trade...
9. DS For this Trade: 1DS
10. DS Running Total: 100% (4/20)
11. Result: -0.8R
12: Badge R: 2.2 (Target 10)

5/20 Dax S1 Short NYO

Unread post by ganesha04 »

1. Trade Number: 5/20 Batch 6
2. Date/Time: 28/04/2020 - Afternoon Session
3. Symbol/TF: DAX
4. Signal Type / Direction: Short S1
5. Setup Type: b
6. The situation on M5: Potentially beginning of new Impulse wave down; breaking the upward trend to the downside...
7. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: After a strong bullish move throughout the day, we had price dropping at NYO with price having a 2nd pull to the green line. According to my rules, if it's 2nd pull, it's a B trade (smaller probability) and I have to wait for the C to take the entry which I did.
8. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Price went down for a nice 1R.
9. DS For this Trade: 1DS
10. DS Running Total: 100% (5/20)
11. Result: 1R
12: Badge R: 3.2 (Target 10)
