Tom
Fantastic result.
Having the pleasure of speaking to you each morning when we trade I have noticed a big change in your attitude recently, you are focused, confident and above all positive. Considering you only started trading 6months ago you can be very proud of your achievement to date and I have no doubt at all you will make a success of this.

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
Ok ok I know I said I was done for June, but I was curious as to where cable got to after I took the rest of the afternoon off. I opened the chart to see it setting up on the 5min chart.. they say trade every setup. so i did. I came out at break even when price stalled and ao turned dark green on the 1 min chart. That's it now, time for some pay day beers.
Yes I agree Immy I shall start to focus on hitting 10 pips / 1% again next month and keeping losers small. I used to spend all week wishing for the weekend, now i'm wishing it was the week and not the weekend so I can trade!
Thanks Richard, It's good to know the change in my attitude has been noticed by others.. It tells me I'm doing something right! Your results are truly amazing and a constant reminder of the 'unlimited potential to earn' through forex. Forex has come at probably the most perfect time in my life so I'm doing everything I can to grab it with both hands. I am 23 next month, with time on my hands and no serious commitments. This can only be a good thing!
Enjoy your weekends guys!

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
morning all, well.. I skipped 1 rule this morning and it cost me 1%. I was looking for a wave 5 on cable to break out of it's range, on the 5 min chart. The aims box was too large. I had a 20 pip stop which put the stop above the aligator. I was patient and calm throughout the trade giving it the room it needed to get going, but unfortunatly my stop was hit. Lesson learnt.. follow the flowchart infornt of me! Time for a break until NYO.

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
I've just been out for a ride on my bike and have been thinking. I'm glad I lost 1% this morning, because i didn't trade the rules properly. Had that trade worked out I would have traded like that in the future, and that's not a good thing! I don't trade 'too bigger' aims boxes on 1min, so I shouldn't on any other time frame. a setup is a setup is a setup as immy always says. I've proven to myself this morning that as a 'picture' trader, I didn't have the correct picture infornt of me. Irrespetive of my other reasons to take the trade. Back now feeling focused and in the zone for this afternoon.
I am now trading full 1% monetary risk, and will be doing so from here on. I believe this will help me become more disciplined. I feel that I have a good understanding of the aims system now and really need to improve the mental side of my trading.
Just taken UJ 1min long for a break even. Closed manually when momentum showed to lack on the AO. Happy with my trade management on that.

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
-6.1pips on cable just now. 5min chart looks horrible, I should have known better. The markets have really tested me today and they have won. Feel a bit like I'm chasing that 1% loss from this morning so I'm turning off the pc and taking myself away from trading tonight. I will return in the morning with a revised daily mantra and fresh eyes to see what London open offers.

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
I've finished for the day now, happy to have kept myself out of any trades this morning. I listened to some of the audio book 'trading in the zone - mark douglas' last night again after my head was all over yday. I found it helped this morning keeping me out of all the noise. I found listening to some music in the background whilst I was at the charts & helped me stay relaxed and patient. I'm curious to know what other people do to keep in the zone whilst at the screens, all hints & tips welcome =) lol. Hope the afternoon brings some opportunity for you all

Re: Tom from Leeds's Journal
Certainly mate, this morning for me I could not see a trending market on euro, cable or UJ. (the 3 pairs I mainly trade) I also felt like the spread took up too much of the chart, by this I mean the bid and ask lines were quite far apart and showing the market's lack of volume. As well as the levels displayed on the snorms fractal fib indicator were too cramped up for my liking. (showing more of a ranging market than trending) If I was still trading I would wait for a significant break out from the range, then look to trade the retrace. eg wave 3 breakout, wait for the retrace (assume wave 4) then look to get in on wave 5. although trade the setup rather than the wave. Hope you can pull some info out of my answer to help you, cheers. off to my day job now
