Re: Ray's amnesty page
I'd be happy for you.....40 pips. 4%?
----
On another note, you wrote a post suggesting the other 900 (or however many there are) members who don't share their thoughts experiences and success or failure ought to keep a journal page.
Pity they dont. Perhaps they didn't see the msg. Would you be able to email everyone in bulk and remind them of the site?
If they have got tired of forex then of course that's another story, but I bet there are dozens who use the system but dont share it with us here.......

Eventually closed that trade manually, gave up hope of a suggested tz1
Must have made 6% ROI on trades closed on Wednesday
Keep sending them

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Friday morning
It's a mess, and I had 2 consecutive rents between 7 and 8
I'm attaching m1, which shows the wild ranging but I traded in m5
Lesson may be to do with height of aim boxes
best to stay and let the thing sort itself out today, the m5 alligator is asleep

Re: Ray's amnesty page
I started by getting chewed in the nuts with whipsaw this morning, and was not a happy chappy just before going for a blood pressure reading!
But I've had three winning trades still which put me 1.5% up on last nights closing balance
The circumstances of the last session which in less than one minute made me 25 pips were that my trade manager, which looks for 6 pips (unless I stretch the TP), hadn't kicked in before the price fell out of bed. At least the trade was in my direction. I wonder if any of the others of you got rich in that little bit of action?
As Immy would so often say, 1.5% a day, anything in the region of 0.5pc plus, is still bricklaying!

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Probably that was my last trade for this week. 0.5pc in less than 5 minutes. on m5 rules this was neither setup1 nor 2 but met the conditions of an 'add on' due to a fractal break. It was probably legitimate in m1 which I was using to time the entry. In the middle of this trade my laptop froze and it took me 10 minutes to reboot, during which time it had closed me out in profit but I didnt have the time to manually move TP or SL for a better potential outcome. I am of the belief now it isn't silly to run two computers just in case!
Looking back on the week I will declare a profit in region of 8 per cent return on capital
Not bad but not as good as it could have been either. It's still bricklaying.
I think I made mistakes on Wednesday, which were a combination of
1) not waiting to confirm a fractal breakout properly before trading - the entry price was too near the top of the box, and the market saw that as resistance and 'respected' it and went back down to SL.
It seems to pay to give it a bit of leeway and see at least 0.5pip breakout plus spread so say 2.1pips
2) stretching the Stop Loss. I have a silly habit of doing this which redeems me 3 times in 4 if and only I think I'm staying with the trend in a higher time frame. I met my nemesis twice this week when the market actually was on the turn.
Today I made the mistake of staying away for a couple hours after 2 stop losses, and if I'd taken the 3rd signal I would have been ok.
Have a good weekend folks, I wish more of you would write up your journals, to share your experience of winning and losing, which is all part of the journey towards overall success......
I'm so glad it's the weekend. Chance for a good break. Brokers might close down on mt4, but remember none the less that currency is still in use and there is a market which never stops whatever the time.....xe.com is a useful place to keep an eye on any developments, these may also foretell a gap up or gap down when the mt4 brokers get started again eg 2200GMT Sunday night.

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Monday I wasn't around, and looks like I didn't miss anything (on EurUsd) although other pairs might have been more active.
Tuesday morning. Just a quick scalp before shaving (lol). I should have stayed in this trade a lot longer, but fear got the better of me, eg the ADR from yesterday was low, and some of you know I'm happy to keep taking 5 or 6 pips every time anyway
