Thanks for putting all that together.
I think what I was missing was the Trend factor ie if
the trend is up than a down wave cannot be
a wave 3 because w1,3,5 are impulsive in direction of trend
and waves 2,4 are corrective pullbacks.
Is the black wave number 4 especially significant in
identifying the start of wave 5?
Your screenshot is very clear on the add ons - you
only trade wave 3 after identifying a '1-2' ?
and wave 5 after identifying an AA at end of wave 4

You have hit the nail on its head. One hit and the coffin is shut sealed forever.
You must identify trend if you want trade reversals.
Wave 4 must be identified if you want to go into wave 5.
Count above zl is for longs count below zl is for shorts. We go with the biggest peak be it above or below zl.

Well Lets see if I have identified a possible start
of a Wave 5 on the M30 TF.
After a 1-2 we have Wave 3 in a downtrend, followed
by a Wave 4 retracement to 38.2 Fib toward
Purple and calls up an AA Fruit Signal
a Wave 5 should now continue the downtrend?
UPDATE: NOT EVEN CLOSE!
