Dave

Thanks for your post. Firstly this shows that you really did look into The Seed. You are the first one to point this out to me. As usual my research pointed this out to me before I spoke of it and we found that there are many occassions where a Seed would do 2 extra things that M1 wont, 1. get you into a trade where M1 would still be sideways but just not setting up properly, 2. keep you in a trade longer without kicking you out too soon just before a breakout. These two things more than compensate the "ranges" that may be created from 8.30 to 9.30 on an hourly chart. Moreover, the signals come so often that I never felt the need to create more signals. However you are absolutely right in your thought process and analysis.

Great observation Dave. :-bd

I also have noticed this on the hourly chart where a seed hasn't quite set up but on the lower time frames you can see it would have been a great place to enter. An indicator to 'alert' you of this situation would be fantastic, but obviously you wouldn't just enter a trade blindly as soon as it alerts you as it may mean you start to over trade, as Immy points out. I do however feel that you could fairly quickly see if it is a good setup or not!

Fascinating stuff. \m/

Thanks for your feedback, Immy (edit: and Darren!). Very much appreciated. I'm going to have a crack at a rolling seed indi and see what I can come up with. It'll still require some visual analysis with respect to the position of the range in the higher timeframe wave but I'll see how I go. If it's not finished within a week or two..... just wait longer! :-B
Thanks again

I have a question about what to do if you missed a fruit but then you see a seed like in the chart below:

When I miss a signal, I don't bother about it. I'll have to find a signal in the NOW to get in if I want to get in but I cannot get in if I don't have my edge present which is the signal!

The Setup!

cheers

Thanks Immy. So although the Seed occurred during an up trend I guess you wouldn't take it long as a Fruit appeared before it?

It was a great Fruit trade as it turns out!
