Trade Setup: Setup 1

Exit: 1.12253 - hit my stop loss

Comments: I tried to trade on the H1, but it didn't work out that well for me on my first go

Good trade, just didn't turn out - next. I also found that often an initial rent turned into a profitable trade after. Obviously, if you have to leave the chart, you have to, but I usually tried to hang around for the collection of trades, to hopefully get the next one on offer.

Hi Adrian, and as Immy and Michael have said, welcome and congrats for starting your journal. great to see another Aussie in the forum. There are a few of us.
Same as what Michael said, EU was dropped about 18 months ago by us as the volatility was very dry. AIMS m1 works very well for an instrument that moves more than 100 pips in a day. Almost all of us are on DAX, which I found with IC Markets here in Oz, but the latency rates for taking trades was bad. I moved my money to the UK and use GKFX now, which is great.

Keep posting trades, warts and all. People do read them and will be happy to offer constructive criticism on them. Great you have started with the DS as well.

Ah, just saw the last trade and you are on DAX now. Awesome :)

Can I ask for a moment, what your entry criteria and trade management rules are. they will help for us to see your trade and comment on it. I look at the one above, and wonder what rules you have chosen to use? For example, close on other side of green, rules for taking profit etc. I am happy to share what I have for S1's. Personally, I am a visual person and like to see the AIMS boxes etc as well, but we are all different which adds tot he richness of the AIMS community :)

HI Kyle

Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the response.

I only tried the Eur/Usd once but it didnt work out so i am back to DAX i think.

In regards to exits i had the exit on the other side of the AIMs lines. IS that right or should i be doing something else?

Basically my rules for entry are;
Rule 1 - Alligator Sleeping or Awake
Rule 2 - AIMS A Bar Close to Zero line
Rule 3 Entry Level not to far from the stop loss level

thanks again for the feedback Kyle i am also going to start posting my charts in the skype group

Trade: Sell DAX at 9829.5(13.53pm Brokers time)
Trade Setup: Setup 1

Exit: 9850.1 - hit my stop loss

Comments: The stop loss i hit was set with the AIMs box from entry. Probably dropped too much before this to keep going.

DS Score: 1
