4. Signal Type / Direction : Long Setup 1 - 9.58am

6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Price went for 1R loss; but that's not the point; it is to take those trade and not care about the outcome for now and stick to my TP; need to remind myself that I am learning discipline!

2. Date/Time: 05/12/2019 - Morning Session
3. Symbol/TF: Dax/1m
4. Signal Type / Direction : Long Setup 1 - 11am
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: Price had a big break out; but I thought the wave count still made sense and fulfilled all S1 conditions and I took the trade.
6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: 1R win, but price didn't hit TZ1 and reversed.
7. DS For this Trade: 1DS
8. DS Running Total: 82% (17/20) (14DS1 & 3DS0)

Eager to get my first T20 over; so also found some time this afternoon to look at the charts:

1. Trade Number: 18/20 Batch 1
2. Date/Time: 05/12/2019 - Afternoon session
3. Symbol/TF: Dax/1m
4. Signal Type / Direction : Short - 4pm
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: Price had already moved 120points for the day, but the wave count made me think that the 5th wave hadn't been hit; 3rd wave was very long so I waited patiently until all factors started to come together as market moved sideways; it didn't have a juice for a while and then price suddenly popped.
6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Turned out to be a beautiful trade, price went to TZ1; amazing to see how quickly price can gain momentum and go in one direction. {EDIT: After looking at history, turns out that this was a 1R loss; lol, price reversed one more time before going down and must have stopped me out whilst I was in the meeting lol...); still my wave count still correct...
7. DS For this Trade: 1DS
8. DS Running Total: 83% (18/20) (15DS1 & 3DS0)

3. Symbol/TF: Dax/1m
4. Signal Type / Direction : Short - 4pm
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: As I couldn't make the morning session, I was eager to win lost time back in the afternoon. Tuned to the markets at 2pm, US "open time" and saw this potential opportunity. So took the trade.
6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Markets were so sloooooow, and I regretted trading, but stupid me realised a big pike around 2.30. A quick google and I realised that US markets open at 2.30!!!! Anyways, going to stick to Dax morning sessions for now...

Learning from first T20:

A. Understanding the Setup
Even though Setup 1 is very “easy” to follow on paper, it is a bit more difficult to execute in real time as there are so many variables associated with; my focus, emotional state, how far the market has moved, the M5 gator etc… so for me the first T20 was a great learning experience… key takeaways:
    • M5 Gator!!! - Important to trade with the trend of the HTF!
      • Make sure the Gator is actually sleeping, as in within a tight box and all 3 lines within the tight box
        • Look at the how much a market has moved before making a trade; AO numbers on the right hand side a good indicator to see how much price has moved.
            • Counting the number of bars; if there is roughly already 114ish in 3rd wave Wave 5 push may not be happening
                • Choose trading time wisely; majority of the move done within the first 1 hour/1.5h LO. Volume so important; no point trading in a dead market.
                    • AO Gator doesn’t need to cross the 0 line in the 4th wave; even if it’s v v close to the 0 line could be enough
                        • B-traps can be a nightmare; need to learn to avoid them!
                            • Trading is not a science, it’s an art; it’s the small nuances which make the difference
                          B. My emotions and focus:
                          1. At the beginning, I was very nervous about loosing trades or entering trades because of the fear of loss; I wanted to make sure that every setup is absolute perfect to get a winner.
                          2. Now towards the end of my first T20, I have the mindset of “it’s just another trade” out of 1000’s I am planning to take in the future.
                          3. Also, I learned that if everything adds up, then my job as a trader is to get into the market; what happens afterwards I can’t control or influence; however I know that if I follow my plan and rules the probability to win will be on my sight.
                          4. On some days the market just moves and on others it doesn’t; it’s important to know when to trade!
                          5. I am now also thinking in terms of “R”s and not in terms of % or £; another big mind shift.

                          C. My discipline:
                          1. I was mostly surprised by this; perhaps I was a bit arrogant at the beginning thinking that I will hit 100% for sure and now just about made the 80%; it’s funny how my mind works when it comes to real life trading…
                          2. I will have to accept that 100% would be impossible as otherwise I will be a machine but I should be aiming for 90% in my next batches.
                          3. Infrastructure:
                          4. I also learned the importance of a routine; I’m on my desk at 7:45 every morning. It was slightly difficult to at the beginning, but rewards paid off
                          5. Writing the journal has also helped me to reflect and to make sure I note down my learnings and mistakes. Also sharing my trades in the Slack group helped to learn from my mistakes and gain feedback from members and Immy.
                          6. It is also v important to have the right trading tools to hand (ATM, eWaves, right broker, low spreads… etc…)

                          D. Conclusion:
                          1. Overall, Stage1 is a perfect entry for beginners; it puts no pressure on winning; it teaches you the right mindset, and makes you understand that there are so many factors involved in being a successful trader! Let’s go Stage 2 (if Immy approves!)

Firstly, congratulations on completing an effective stage 1 training phase. You've done well. And the review above, is the testimony to it. You've done a fantastic job compiling trades, writing the journal, being present in the chatroom and throwing them screenshots as often as possible.

The points above also show that you're exactly the type of trader/person who can excel in this field. You seem to be putting the effort to get organised. And as you have nicely highlighted above, trading is an ART. It's a way of living. You have to get up, you have to prepare, you have to be on the desk before the open. That's crucial. Well done and welcome to STAGE 2... Much work needs to be done in this stage but the rewards outweigh the effort in due course

                                                  cheers
