Re: Alina's KC Journal

So today I started trading with Naked Charts on Immy's plan - although I went a bit awry at the outset only to redeem myself later on as you will see.
The 20EMA was only added once I had moved to trading the M5 chart. So even though it shows on the M1 chart on my screen grab - it was not there while I was trading.
My M1 trading was totally DS0
M5 trading was DS1
I did not trade US30 today.
I finished the day BE.
DS0

Re: Alina's KC Journal
I have changed my trading plan from this day.
WHY?
I was feeling frustrated at not getting my entries right and found that I had too much information to sort through to decide if it was a good trade in accordance with the rules or not. At this point I was up on the month, but not by much.
So I went and read Emma's journal and realised that she was far better at interpreting the rules than I was and quicker to make decisions too - which is awesome. But I had to find something that I could work with to train myself to see Pullbacks clearer. So, I reviewed my journal and stared at my charts for a while. The thing I noticed in my pullback trades was that I was always pulling the trigger too late so ended up with a poor trade entry which increased my mental strain as the market moved against me in its ebbs and flows.
MY SOLUTION
I started to look at all the tools that Immy had provided us to see what I could work with. The Aims Box is the one that I could most clearly see when the market had broken out of a range to create a new high/low. I could then also see clearly when there was a pullback of at least 2 candles. So I started to build and entry process around this to see how it would go.
I started by backtesting my idea against my own trading performance for DAX in the current month and when I found that I would have made significantly higher gains that I had actually made, I reviewed it against the month of June and had the same outcome which I will show you below.
Now, I am well aware that this is insufficient review of a system to determine whether it has an edge overall and does not cover all kinds of markets, but I figured that if it was making far better results than I was doing with my previous haphazard approach then it was worth starting now.
MY TRADING PLAN
My Trading result comparison for DAX
I see this as a stepping stone to identifying Pullbacks clearly.
Live trading started on Dax M5 on 22nd July and on US30 M1 on 26 July

Re: Alina's KC Journal
Hey Alina
I am really excited for you. It seems that you have put in alot of work here. You have tried to create a trading method that you like yourself.
You can see from the testing that it probably has an edge. You know that it is not enough testing but you are aware of it. That's good.
I'm sure it will be a great experience. Now its up to you how to implement your trade plan. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to daily updates.
cheers

I made some errors today in moving stops. The second (greyed) trade summary panel shows the results as I would have presented in testing.
I managed to balls it up quite well. It was the first time I had had such a tight trading range - barcode day. It was harder to be clear at the right edge of the chart.
DAX30
US30 This is the first day of live trading on this market. Made similar errors and the test conditions panel is also included for comparison in grey. Not as much of a difference in the result though.

You're taking trading seriously now.
Good process in place. keep going ... keep hitting those DS 1 trades
it will happen... Losses is part of the game, DS1 is the objective.
cheers
