Thanks Herbert for your previous post - what good information!!

Traded LO this morning, couldn't see any valid setups. I did have 1 PO placed but cancelled it after the 10:08 black diamond. I didn't like the AO & ali was facing down. No trades in the end, captial preservation for me!

Good luck for the rest of the day.

This is my first entry triggered for a while, I was in the process of changing brokers (albeit demo) and admit I wasn't 100% focused. I placed a pending after seeing the 19:11 red dot, I placed pending below 15min level as I felt m1 was too close. My pending was hit & I was in the trade. Looking back my entry was too far away as price hadn't created a new level. After each new lower aims box I adjusted my stop loss above it & reduced it down to 3 pips. I manually closed the trade on the black diamond which gave me a very slight profit.

All comments welcome please!!! I really want to nail this system!

Here's a summary of my first month of trading the aims system (Feb):

Total trades = 12
winners = 5 = +20.1 pips
losers = 7 = -37.6 pips
% = -1.6%. In week 1 I took 8 trades all of which were below 0.5% risk, 1% risk was used from week 2 onwards, as well as installing steve's indicator from week 2. This would have kept me out of so many trades in week 1. But this is all part of the learning.

I feel like I have really 'grown up' this month, I have found a routine and regular trading hours that I can stick to. I have become patient and I'm starting to become disciplined as a trader. I've learnt the importance of following the rules – rules certainly aren't made to be broken in this game! And I now try to see the bigger picture to my trading both on the charts and in my mindset.

By the looks of other people's journals it hasn't been the easiest month, so as a newbie & given my restricted trading hours I'm happy with how I've performed. I still have lots to learn but I'm confident in my abilities to learn this system. I'm looking forward to march and hope the markets will be a bit kinder to us all.

Cheers, Tom

Thanks for all your comments so far.

Opened march with +5 pips 0.5%, I managed to get my stop to -4 then break even pretty quickly so I was happy with that. I manually closed the trade when I saw AO turn dark green. There could have been a more pips to be had on the trade after my exit so again all comments welcome =)

Cheers Tom

Hi all, I had the week off the day job this week so I split my time between trading and other hobbies. I spent longer at the screens than usual & have been talking to more and more aims traders so for me it's been a very productive week. I have seen the potential of the higher time frames and I'm really looking forward to learning those in the coming weeks.

Discipline has been tested over and over this week I'm really trying to wait for those dream setups. I did manage to take a trade at the start of the week for +5 pips, 0.5% growth. (see above post.) I am down -1% since opening the account 13 trades ago at the start of Feb.

Enjoy the weekend, Tom.

Took a break of the 15min level long, forgot about the upcoming news in hindsight i would have taken a break from the screens. anyway, po triggered and I was in. managed to get my stop to break even. At break even my thought's were the news will be out very soon so it is now a risk free ride if it goes in my favour. my stop was hit and then I sat and watched price rocket through my initial target at the 60min high. next
