Didn't take this one as I hit Buy Limit instead of Buy Stop and got it a bit late, but a nice example of an AU 1min trade I wanted to take. Another newbie error, but all good making them on demo :)
I know it is early, but I am considering going a month on demo to show I can make it consistantly profitable (that's me, not the method as I believe the method is great B-) )

Would have been 1 : 1.3 Risk : Reward, so 2.6% on a 2% risk with no drawdown. Happy to have selected this and let the last few trough by being picky by waiting for the red, green and blue lines to intertwine a bit and really make that Alligator sleep :)

Notice also that the trade basically fell after hitting the 61.8 Fib line. A spot of high significance from my other trading methodology with VSA

I totally agree.

Demo it until you show consistent profits and then and only then start to Ride the 2 wheeler. and perhaps later you could start using a BMX and show us some stunts!

cheers

New Trade just closed out. Was confident with all the rules and how it would end up going - and was right. I did have more profit and it pulled back to the green line and gave the "close" signal. I am happy to have closed out then rather than slightly earlier as I would havebeen a bit upset with myself if I closed early and seen it continue down. Any/all comments appreciated.
I am aiming at trading basically when the Alligator is sound asleep (ie when the lines are all intertwined).

Thanks Grant.
I am learning each and every day with this methodology and can really see it as being a good fit for me. For this "trial month" on the demo account, I have selected a higer risk as such, but feel I will be quite selective with the setups as they do occur pretty frequently.
I am hoping to trade the setups where the Alligator is basically not just sleeping, but comatose ie when the three lines are intertwining and the eWaves is almost non existant. I am seeing probably 4 of those while I am looking at the charts. June will be the test when I have a fair dinkum go at it when my son is not here (he is here 2 nights a week and my attention is obviously on him until he either goes to bed or back to his mum). The days he is here, I can still look during NY open, so might be able to catch a setup like I did tonight :)

As far as my account goes, the above trade netted 1.22% for the day, so am quite happy with that 19 minutes of exposure to the market.

Bed time now and trade when my son is asleep tomorrow night \M/

Thanks for the compliment Betina. It is appreciated.

It maybe helps in some part that I have been trading for about 2 years now with a few other methodologies and been live as such since November. I am lucky that my parents blessed me with extremely good patience, so I am happy to wait for the right setup for me. I believe that this month will be a great one on Demo for me. Aiming at maybe 1-2 trades per day, but will not be forcing anything. If there is a week without a trade (unlikely), so be it. I have been tested with that sort of lack of trading with my VSA methodology. The current market turmoil has made it near impossible to find a quality, high probability VSA setup, which is why I am here :)

One question for someone with more experience than me - When you get a setup and place a PO, do you change the entry/SL levels if a new AIMS level is formed by a new fractal inside the current AIMS level? It has happened to me a couple of times now and I have left the trade as-is, but wanted to know what others have done in the same situation.

Thanks everybody. Back into work now and looking forward to trading tonight :)

Hi all,
I have been away from it for a short while, studying up on it a bit more and getting it all hopefully in my head. Took a trade today, although middle of Asia Session.
Regardless of session, I am interested to see if I got it right and if it was just a rent. If so, I am happy anyway. All on trial account :)

Alligator Asleep - Yes
Setup Used - No.1
Purple Correct - Yes
Dot Inside AIMS - Yes
Exit > 15 Pips - Yes (7.5)
Result - Rent of 5 pips of -1.33% on 2% total risk

Another one, albeit a small rent. Think it was right setup though.
Alligator Asleep - YES
Setup Used - Setup 1
Purple Correct - YES
Dot inside AIMS - YES
Exit > 15 Pips - Yes (10.6)
Bars since AO Cross - 24
Result -0.32% from 2% risk

Question - Is it too long since AO cross??

Kyle

Not bad trade however I'd suggest try trading the EUR/USD instead! Spread is lower and moves better.

cheers
