Thanks for sharing this document. Some good information there. I agree completely too, Quote " There are no “perfectly disciplined” traders."
The Bottom Line is! Its all about Self Discipline! If someone had told me this, at the time of starting how to trade, and I had understood them, I would have said, well, if I could be Self Discipline, the way a Trader needs to be, then I can succeed in any arena of life. I can be the best Dad, The best friend, the perfect body, you know name it. That is the ground reality. If you cannot be disciplined, you cannot be successful. (wish I listened to my father more). My dad always said, I don't send you to school so that you become a philosopher, not necessarily that, but to learn to be Disciplined.
cheers

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
Some Rents can be easily avoided. If you look at the picture to the left you'd see a Setup but you only have to look at m5 chart to find out we were in a sideways rnage. A Wave 4, a correction in other words. Some trades can be easily filtered.

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
I loved this video! I think I relate to that young guy! I'd love to edit out everything and just watch Tim's story! Love the bit where he does the "woulda coulda shoulda", you know what I mean. It happens to all of us. You know you have this setup, you know there is going to be that 5th wave, you know its gonna hit that TZ1 but you have to leave. or you just take the exit route... oh shit is what I hear later... and then the Famous Grant Terminology! NEXT

and yes, To be Humble!
Its all about keeping a Balance. You cannot be completely Stress-Free or You cannot have too much of it. Its personal.
Without the right amount of Greed you won't make something, with too much of it, you'll take a hit, you'll give it all back.
Without the right amount of fear you'll be too bold and you'll make silly mistakes, with too much of it you won't do a thing and keep watching the charts all day long and don't put a trade.
And they talk about having a Strategy

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
Thanks for those Immy,
I will watch them over the next day or so.
Another good one that I have seen is "Million Dollar Traders"

This was quite interesting seeing differing styles and the ultimate conclusion of the project

Just found his wesbite ...

I searched for him, because this series is from 2006 and I wondered where he'd be now.

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
His verified perfomance in 2012 shows as 38% and he's still going. (incidentally some stock market indeces are chasing that kind of number this year, look at European).immy wrote:Just found his wesbite ...

Presumably these are not leveraged trades
and some here are getting 38% in a month or 6 weeks
I wish more people would come on here to share something on their journals

1% daily gain, compounded for 250 trading days, (approximately one year) would produce 1103% account growth

Re: Immy's AIMS Trades
"New Traders often think trading is a a difficult intellectual exercise, they are trying to be brilliant, the reality is, its not about coming up with a new trading technique, its about fundamentals"
SO TRUE!
Even I, sometimes, after a difficult day, try to create a new system, and after I'm done, I scrap it and kick myself or swear at me for wasting my time... its not something I'm proud of, but its the truth and its a thing I face when I'm down. So now I've written on the wall is that if you find yourself trying to create a new entry technique or a new money or trade management criteria, that means you need a walk or swim or just play a game or something, just take a break.
hmmm
