Thursday's NEO should have started with a nice push down, but first it didn't take my order and then I lost confidence. With campaign 487 I should have moved my SL above that last Fruit and more importantly I should have gone long there or at least have taken the BO long, but my head was stuck in the short trade. The two seeds at the end of wave 3 recovered most of my losses. I kept the SL very tight there because I did not think it was a prime setup.

Camp 486:
Trade 1: Fruit Long - 16.4 Pips (0.6)
DS 1

Camp 487:
Trade 1: SAR Short - 21.3 Pips (0.3)
Trade 2: Add On - 26.0 Pips (0.4)
DS 1

Camp 489:
Trade 1: Seed Long + 8.0 Pips (1.0)
Trade 2: Seed Long + 1.1 Pips (1.0)
DS 1

Camp 488:
Trade 1: Seed Long + 11.3 Pips (0.9)
Trade 2: Seed Long + 5.2 Pips (0.9)
DS 1

good lord the two shorts... and you held them for so long... :) i wonder what happens to us traders some times... mind freeze? oh well... NEXT btw. good seeds there buddy

ps: i think you have to reset your campaign count as its and or 3rd type of strategy you've employed. and what's the conclusion???

The conclusion is, that I am still not disciplined enough to follow one strategy and therefore should not go ahead and try different strategies at the same time and make it even harder to do each properly.
With the Fruit strategy I still trade the wrong setups sometimes and am not disciplined enough to keep or put my SL where it supposed to be. I have the feeling that it might be easier for me to follow the seed strategy. The idea with adding the seed was to have a few strategies to play with and really concentrate on the prime setups of each one.

Friday's NEO almost showed the sam picture as Thursday's in the beginning. Again I tried to SAR the long Fruit and it didn't work. Should have closed the Shots earlier again, but didn't. At least I took the Breakout long. The AA Fruit should have been a must, but been thinking long, long, long now. So I tried the next Fruit long and then went short once that didn't work. Added on the short, so far so good and then AGAIN put my SL to close not trusting in the move down.
The seed worked nicely, but I didn't get the second order in.

Camp 490:
Trade 1: Fruit Long - 13.0 Pips (0.8)
DS 1

Camp 491:
Trade 1: SAR Short - 18.0 Pips (0.4)
Trade 2: Add On - 21.6 Pips (0.4)
DS 0

Camp 492:
Trade 1: BO Long + 5.5 Pips (0.4)
DS 1

Camp 493:
Trade 1: Fruit Long - 6.5 Pips (0.7)
DS 0

Camp 494:
Trade 1: BO Short + 17.5 Pips (0.4)
Trade 2: Add On + 12.8 Pips (0.4)
DS 0

Camp 495:
Pressed the wrong button

Camp 496:
Trade 1: Seed Short + 14.4 Pips (0.9)
DS 1

Hi,

I just wrote in Kyle's journal that we will be trading Apple Seeds and Cherries from Monday onwards. Reason being firstly we cannot trade two ways in the group and secondly i love the fact that managing a seed apple and cherries campaign is rather easier because it usually does not take as long as the fruit campaign takes. Don't get me wrong both a great strategies.

cheers

I have been testing the seed for a couple of weeks now, and it looks like I am starting to get better results as with trading the Fruits. Also I have the feeling that it somehow helps me to keep the waves and the probabilities present in my mind while trading.
I always try to open two orders and close one at 1:1 and then move the SL to BE. However I think I have to alter that a little as often the SL at BE just gets hit before the market continues in my direction. The 1:1 close can also be optimized. Keeping the waves present in my mind should help me to make the right decision when to knock of the first half and when how to handle the second half. Often I am reluctant to take a signal when I already got 1 % or 2 % under my belt and then miss out on a few more.
What follows now are the charts for the last week (17.08. - 21.08)
Managed to grow my account by something like 5%, but much more would have been possible.
Will be traveling for most of the next week, so I am not sure how many days I can actually trade.
From beginning of the September I will be back to keeping a much more detailed journal.
Also I will try to join the skype group on a more regular basis.

Made a few percent today. Again not as much as would have been possible, but I am happy still.

Hi Gregor,
some nice trades here today.

If I may place some thoughts:
Maybe you can make trading life easier for yourself if you predefine exactly which strategy you are going to follow. It seems to me that you're mixing a few concept. As far as I can tell, your main entries are Seed/Cherries/AA but you also take breakout and Fruit against trend/purple and SARing.

IMHO, strictly following Grant's Seed flow chart for Seeds and Cherries, S1/S2-flow chart and Adam's Apple make entry-decissions as simple as they can be - nearly mechanical. Together with strict exit rules it's absolutely effortless. Only effort is to fully and deeply accept the risk of each and every trade and to follow rules strictly and disciplinely.

Shifting to pure Seed/Cherry/AA/S1-S2 was earier to me than I thought. I was a bit concerned that I get angry about missing big moves. But the opposite is true as I'm focused only on simple entry and exit rules and pull out some % in only a few candles.

Maybe there is something in my thoughts you can take advantage of.

Cheers

Hello Gregor!
Just caught up with your journal after four month break
and I am struck by the far more professional and upbeat
tone to your journal entries these days

I wouldn't have presumed to have mentioned it before
but previously I felt trading was a bit burdensome to you.
You always had that great persistent attitude but like
you were on a treadmill, forcing yourself to keep going

I don't sense that now, I sense far more confidence,
- would I be right in thinking you actually enjoy trading far
more these days?

That is the definite impression I get

and your move from Fruit might be just the thing,
although early days you seem far more confident
with your cherries and seeds

All in all its encouraging to see the progress :)
Stop searching for the Holy Grail, you've already found it -
It's in your mind!

Hi Michael,

good to have you back. Hope you had a nice holiday!
I always enjoyed trading, but you are right, since trading the seed an cheery I think I have a much better feeling for the market. I try to follow the waves to know in advance where to expect a signal that gets me into the market. The biggest problem is that I am often just not patient enough to wait and end up doing something stupid which than sends me into a spiral dive.
All in all I am quit happy with my progress over the last two month and confident, that I am on the right way.

Best regards,

Gregor
