Batch 6
Trade 02
US2000 H1 Long
S1, started ok. I used the T Fractal key for the first time, SL adjusted a little. Out at SL just under my full 1R loss.
End result was -1R
R result to date for this batch: 0R
DS score for batch: 1/2
Overall total R score: (all batches) +16R

Is that the Russell 2000? I didn't know if anyone even quote it on MT4. Best thing is to stick to main markets, imho.
I'll trade SP500 , Dow, Nasdaq - out of the US indices, Dax for Europe. AU200. But I focus on forex more.

Re: Vicky's Journals
Yes it is, I have had it on my list for awhile. Is that the Russell 2000? I didn't know if anyone even quote it on MT4.
I cut back on my FX pairs as I had too many and they were working against each other.
So maybe I need to cut back some of my indexes as well.
There are a few like the UK that with my risk and being a 1 size postion I can not get into yet.
I am still learning to read the waves and work out where they are headed next, I guess this will come with time and practise?
Thanks Immy
Vicky

Re: Vicky's Journals
Yes, you are working on the most important WAVE that we trade. The Wave 5. You do it automatically by trading the Setup 1 and AIMing for TZ1. While doing that you have learned how to spot 3 and 4 using quick 10s ewave analysis.
The best combination of H4 charts in my opinion is to go for only the Majors and Major Crosses. (no ZAR or SGD stuff).
Plus if you have a bigger spread/commission for a pair, that goes out of the list as well.
do not track more than 20 charts under any circumstances.
let the 12-16 be forex and the rest can be 2-3 indices, 1-2 metals, 1 oil. that would do.
e.g. that's enough , it covers everything. even though I think one can chose just 2 indices. pick one from europe, only one in this chart, and one from US, could be SP, Dow or Nasdaq or 2 from US.
doesn't have to be a round number of pairs. You will not trade more than 2-4 trades simultaneously anyway. and that if they are not in correlated market.
eg. EUR/AUD, GBP/AUD, AUD/USD all have signals, then chose the best looking picture and ignore the rest. or split 1R risk by 2 so you can hedge it. but since your account is small you should pick one. I'll go for best looking chart.
And yes the more batches of trades you get under your belt the more "personal data" you will have, upon which you cna build and conquer. Trading tells you about you first and foremost. It reveals your own underlying structure for you to see. And then either try to modify it or fit the outer or a bit of both to make a perfect match.
hope this helps.

Re: Vicky's Journals
Thanks Immy, I have re jigged my list, and slimmed the indexes.
I now have 19 in total, mostly FX.
I think the next thing I need to work on is, the wave formation. Sometimes the wave 3 comes to an end, the next colour starts and I think great W4 is here, and then it just bounces back into the same wave 3 again, and doesn't take off in the opposite direction that I was reading.
These long W3 look good if you get in at the beginning, but otherwise they bounce around and don't push to the W5 which we are looking for.
I have just been taken in by a couple of these in the last couple of days, only to end at SL.
