Jan 28, EU trade, UJ no trade, prospect CJ

1/ EU sinked in an "impulsive" manner ---> SHORT trade entered
H1 and M15 charts below
EU H1.png
EU M15.png
2/ UJ did not move as I expected, so did not trade it. Counting a bit difficult at present, so peaked a view on CJ which is correlated

3/ CJ seems clearer ---> H1 chart with explanations below
CJ.png
Comments

- When things are aligned, all become so evident = you just have to pull the trigger
- If anything is unclear, just don't try to find a "good explanation" = it is not clear, just dump the pair and move to another one!!!
- PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE = the whole day yesterday = no move on EU. Today is the RIGHT day. Just wait wait wait.
- And what if price moves the other way than the one expected? = just dup the pair and move to another one. Take time later to redo the EW counting
- Most important = trade what you SEE, what is REAL, not what you guess :) ...

Jan 29, UJ SHORT trade

- CJ did move down...but I missed the move = I was not in front of my MAC by then...

- I did UJ recounting ---> H1 chart below shows that price was about to move into wave 5
- Drop down to M15 to capture a good AIMS entry point ---> M15 chart below
UJ H1.png
Capture d’écran 2014-01-29 à 12.49.33.png
Comments
Please note standard AIMS trade management:
- Enter 2 x 1% (it is 0.5% but I decided to use 1% which works perfectly for me)
- Exit half @1:1
- Add upon SEED, FRUIT, ENTRY SIGNAL
- Pay attention to divergence between PRICE and EW, it could be time to exit. My exit is timed with RSIOMA blue/red line

All is quite easy, effective, stressless = just "DO" when you SEE the good set-up...

Last =
1/ There are times when you will miss good trades -like CJ yesterday for me. Well as Immy told me: "next time..."
2/ There are times as well when price will not move as expected...despite a "perfect" set-up. So what, SL is tight enough to minimize loss, and again as Immy told me: "next time..."

Jan 30, more on trade management

- As you know now I use EW "counting" to evaluate where price could go. Analysis on H4 and H1
- Then I use AIMS to enter trade on M15
- Once in the trade, I have only 2 questions:
1/ When should I exit (totally or partly)?
2/ When should I add?

Below charts explain exit and add strategy
Usually I exit partially when I reach E target

Jan 31, exit EU trade

- 2 "bad" reasons to exit the trade:
1/ I need to go on WE... :)
2/ Got a lot of profit from this trade
Otherwise I would have stayed in, since I don't have my regular exit signals yet...

Below H1 chart and M15

Feb 3, exit GU trade

- Exit GU trade (198PIPS)
- H4 and M15 charts with explanations below
GU H1.png
GU M15.png
Comments
- January was my most profitable mont ever; reasons are
> I start to understand better EW theory, which helps me a lot in defining price direction
> Since I was not good at all trading on M1/M5 -far tooooo fast for me- I explore other TF's, and found that H4 and H1 are perfect for me
> I understand much better as well AIMS overall strategy
> And mainly SUCCESS ---> CONFIDENCE...and back CONFIDENCE ---> SUCCESS...
- I got a lot from AIMS Team, this is why I am here, trying to give freely, as they did. My reco is definitely 1/ Master AIMS, read, re read, practice on demo account until profitable 2/ Once done start to learn EW

Feb 4, SHORT EU trade

- On H1 many concordant signals ---> this is end of price wave 4 (possibly :) ...)
- Drop down to M15 and wait for a good AIMS SET-UP to SHORT EU

- H1 and M15 charts below
EU H1.png
EU M15.png
- Next "candidates"
- should be AU, which is in wave 2 target zone. Plan to SHORT it "soon"...Chart below
AU H4.png
- GU pretty far = end of wave 3 ---> should move to wave 4, and only then plan to SHORT it...Chart below
GU H4.png

Fran, I love your Elliot wave analyses! I have been trying to learn Elliot wave myself, because when I get it right, it is like a signpost to the markets. When used with AIMS, it is extremely powerful.

I wonder if you could share with us your source of Elliot wave knowledge? Can you recommend a book or a website? I have studied a few different resources (mostly stuff by Robert Prechter). Can you recommend any others?

Thanks!

Awesome trading by the way!
