Re: Mickey's Journal
I Trailed for a good profit and was Stopped.
But price resumed up and I re entered.
Not sure if that was wise?

Re: Mickey's Journal
SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Closed trades since Yesterday 5th May
GBPUSD Short Already Closed for -6
EURJPY Short Already closed for -7
EURUSD Short Close above H1 Blue,Closed at -14
USDJPY Long Close below AIMS Closed at -13
GBPAUD Short Closed for +159
CHFJPY Closed for +8
DAX Closed for 838 + 168 + 137 + 61 = +1,204 pips
USDCHF +80
GBPAUD -20
CHFJPY +52
Dax +3
USDCHF +55
CHFJPY -37
CHFJPY - 15
GBPUSD -3
Total +1,452 pips
1,452 pips is not bad for two days work
but of course
+838 of the DAX trade had been running for over two weeks
But still leaves +614 pips genuinely made in two days. I think
every trade has a real time screenshot.
My initial impression is that it is a very good system, very
simple and can yield some very big profits as we can see.
Unfortunately it can be time consuming unless you set and forget
or leave a trailing stop. Neither option is ideal
I won't be able to trade this system during the summer but september
to May definitely - Its probably just about the best system I've ever
trialed, particularly on the higher time frames and quite frankly
when you've spent a few profitable hours on it as I have and then
return to trading 1M it feels like you are crossing the Atlantic in a
storm in a canoe after sailing in the safety of a large ocean going cruise
ship!

Re: Mickey's Journal
Reversal due Election Changing Sentiment
EURGBP moved +32 pips before reversing for BE
GBPCHF moved +85 pips before reversing to BE
If you want the big 1,400 pip wins you need to allow
a lot of breathing space. It doesn't always work obviously.
I pondered over whether to cash in for +117 or wait
for a possible very big move.
Being election day I shouldn't be surprised as sentiment
is likely to chop and change during the day as polls
indicate this and that
but in principle this might be a good case for Michael's suggestion:-
one position trailing would make +117
plus one position with exit at Green or BE allowing for a very
long possible run or at the very worst BE
I think Michael's exit strategy is ideally suited to this technique

Mickey's Journal
RULES!
Before I can give myself a Discipline Score I need to
establish rules to know whether I have kept to them or not
The following screenshot is the perfect set up for this
system
1. Only consider as a Valid Set up Break of AIMS
with Gator clearly trending on ALL THREE Time Frames and
with AO Bright Green or Bright Red on all three TFs
2. Enter Trade at Clear Break of AIMS on H1 but not if it has
already moved away from AIMS level ie more than 10 pips
( in screenshot below I entered late at 20 pips in )
3. Exit Strategy: Open two positions. If momentum trail with one
position, Close second position at Close over Green
4. Add on at any subsequent AIMS level ( as with Fruit System )
but not if price has already moved a significant distance.
So far with this system I have not stuck to these rules but these
are the rules I must stick by until I have very good reason to amend them.
This system is without question Simple and Powerful! It literally takes
under five seconds to spot a valid set up.
I've already made 1.40 zlotte in real money - I can buy a polski beer with that!

Re: Mickey's Journal
My Trade is Up 250 pips already!
-37 -37 = -74
But the bad news is that it reversed 91 pips after
I entered and stopped me out.
Nothing I could have done. I couldn't have had
placed a Stop loss that size. Unless I reduce my
Lot size, which will reduce my profit but may
at least keep me in the trade
But I make a note - that Dave's observation that
winning breakout trades rarely return into
the AIMS box from whence they broke out
Well this was an exception obviously. I will
have to watch to see how often this happens
I think I was unlucky, but it will be interesting to see
how this trade would have progressed if I had still
been in
