Re: Mike's Journal MSK185
Having chosen not to take the black dot setup earlier this morning, which turned out to be anice 20 pip tradif you did take it - well done to those who did - I took the following short for a b/e
%min was heading short, set up on 1min, concious that price was heading into an area of overnight noise so only traded 0.5% risk. Moved my stop to b/e as price reached the 15 min low with target at the 60min low. Alas b/e it was
Happy with my trade management - I chose to leave my stop rather than take a 1 pip profit on the reverse dot.

Re: Mike's Journal MSK185
Good morning fellow Aimsters
I'm not in the best frame of mind today so decided not to trade and I'm away next week so my figures for April are -2pips.
So after 4 months of trading AIMS I'm still achieving break even, I feel that I'm missing something or at the very least need to change something about my trading but at the moment I'm at a loss as to what that is. I try to keep a positive frame of mind but find I am riding an emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows.
I have now spent 2 years trying to learn to trade FX for a living with out ever achieving consistent profitable results at least with AIMS I'm consistently break even when I stick to the rules.
Time for some reflection so any thoughts / suggestions welcome as I can take stock over the next week of how to proceed.
Thanks to all on this forum

Hey Mike!! I get the impression you are EXTREMELY close to breaking into a highly successfull trader..... It is like a congestion where alligator sleeps and ready to break out. This i know is true! O:-)
I have A LOT to say to you but will wait for the AIMsters to provide their valuable insights...
Enjoy your day, weekend and week. (Here in South Africa we already started the weekend with a holiday)

From losing to break-even is a quantum leap. This means that if you consistently apply the strategy you are bound to have the transcending experince very soon. Once you enter the zone there will be no turning back. I suggest you do not change anything and continue. Just trade the system and you will see things will fit into its place automatically. Thats all I can say for now. Consistency = Patience + Discipline
May the pips be with you!

Morning Mike,
i can only agree with what Imran has just posted and add to it the fact that you have had the "AHA" moment by becoming a BE trader, now its just a case of follow the rules and trusting the set ups...
have a great weekend

Re: Mike's Journal MSK185
Back to work today feeling very relaxed after a great week away.
Chose not to trade London session this morning as UK bank holiday but watched the price action and then watched the US session as I saw not setups that met my rules, so no trades today but looking forward to tomorrows sessions
Saw Herberts excellent trade on EURJPY but not sure if anyone else has seen any setups I missed.
Cheers
Mike

hi Mike,
no trading today for me as it was bank holiday in the UK.
looking back i only see 1 trade at 1043 UK that would have met my rules and ended with + pips.
cheers

Thanks Grant,
I think I would have passed on that one as the AO was getting old, I think that is the hardest "discretionary" rule to judge though.
Cheers

Unless I missed something, a choppy morning with no setups on EURUSD M1
Unable to trade this afternoon, so will return tomorrow with renewed energy
Good trading with any trades this afternoon
