Re: Bettina's Journal
ok Herbert, discussion ends, misunderstood you completely.
Fact is, that I didn't have 1 single positive trade with arrows on my screen, neither single nor double.
Nice weekend

Not a single successful trade with DA? You gotta be kidding me. I'd like to see those trades please if you dont mind .I'm so confident about it that anything that might affect my own belief system, I would like to investigate further. I think the DA concept is sound and if understood would keep you in good stead. But for you since you're doing fine without em, I dont insist you put them on, imo though, DA's the easiest way to make stash. I like to trade in the direction of confirmed trend and DA's do it very nicely for me. May be a good discussion and exchange of pics might bring some cheers and smiles our way....
meanwhile have a great weekend and well done on those lovely trades this week. fantastic. .... Hope the Roses are still shining, fragrant and blossoming properly.... have fun....

Re: Bettina's Journal
Hi Immy,
sometimes I think, you dooo want to misunderstand me.
I have written : ' With arrows on my screen '
I highly estimate your ideas and your concept and do trade it !
1 ) dots and sleeping CTF
2 ) HTF and HHTF same ( dot ) direction open
Additional controls :
a ) HHTF not only open but widening/ distance between green and blue growing
b ) HTF : if narrowing then at the very end of this
c ) CTF : at least two cross of ZL after w3 (!!, might miss some trades here )
d ) slightly different interpretation of "gator open" : I interpret, what I can see until the end of the lines ( strictly according to the Setup Manual, p. 32 )
Those might be trades, where you have arrows, DAs or nothing
I simply get crazy, when I see the arrows and DAs on the screen - and yes : then do the craziest trades, mind confused.
Cheers

Re: Bettina's Journal
Hi Bettina,
I see you and Herbert have been discussing P5's and P 3's.
I'm glad as I have also come to distrust the P3's to the point where I've almost decided to ignore them completely due to the fact that there are so many fake outs.
So, as i don't speak german but Googled the word " Fazit " I saw it meant...Conclusion...
Wait for the P5 to take shape which as you say may have crossed AO twice before it begins to take shape. I also like your additional observations where HTF should be closer to AO. This is essentially an exercise in patience and allowing the price action to take shape and then trade the P5 formation.
Thanks for making the observation public and I can add that I too have observed the same.
So, I am happier to miss some P3's than to have to take a number of rents just to catch the occasional P3. I would prefer less trades, higher win/loss ratio and higher profit when waiting for good solid P5's which can be short lived but can sometimes turn into a massive extended W3 which can be awesome.
Do either of you have any stats in terms of the P3 / P5 ideas and probabilities, as this would shed even more light on the expectancy of these particular set ups ?
Best regards
Nick

Re: Bettina's Journal
Hi Nick,
I'm happy to hear from you and that you share my observations. I like to exchange and discuss them and share our experiences.
That P3, as you call it, is a bit filtered by the rule " no higher levels near to the left", but only a bit, very often it's not near and together with an arrow you are tempted to take it, but I definitely won't any longer.
I tried to cultivate my exit strategy in these cases, but am not good enough on that.
Funny your question about stats.
That's exactly what I decided yesterday evening for me and started to design an excel for that :
Something like
w3 +
- wb follows ? ( b of abc )
- after x ZL cross
- tradeable ?
- w5 follows ?
- after x ZL cross / after visible abc structure ?
- tradeable ?
- truncated ?
- 5 of 3 or 5 of 5 ?
- turns into 3 ?
just first ideas. Don't know yet, how much work this will be, for which currencies ( perhaps essentiel, markets might be different on this ) etc, automated recording by some indicator............
I really see Immy laughing about stats of chaos.
Sorry for the 'Fazit'. Facit essentially is Latin, so I thought, might be international, my fault. Summary or conclusion is correct.
Have a nice Sunday !

Thank you for your reply. and I must apologise for my post. Reading it today, I feel silly. 8-}
I certainly want to understand and make understand, the sole purpose of this forum is to learn and to share and learn more.... I learn something from you today and for that I am grateful. Very nicely explained
Nick, yes great observation by them two and as I know that you know that the p5 is a great addition to our understanding of the structure of the market, I'd like to thank you for adding your thoughts. so thank you. and thanks to Steve for his contribution on sharing this divine pattern.
3 Cheers to Bettina and Herbert. (I love these discussion, and sorry for breaking the flow by butting in , in an un-timed manner)

Re: Bettina's Journal
Here's one trade of +10 on GU, after having not been very successfull this week, more busy with watching behaviour.
Sorry, I don't know, why the Snagit capture has such a bad resolution.

Re: Bettina's Journal
2 nice DA trades on EU, S1 with +10.3 and S2 with 6.2. Exited the second one a bit early, but stress free.
Now since Immy has mentioned it himself in his journal, I can also name my two additional histogramms in the M1 chart : they're nothing else than eWaves of M5 and M15, so nothing new at all, just a little additional visual help.
But here, DAs are also wonderful
