Re: Higher Time Frames
If you have not yet found success on M5/M1 Strategy and it has been over a year. It may be time for you to consider changing time frame.
I am officially calling you all to change.
a. if you're already successful on m5/m1 then you may not wish to change and that is a good decision. (If it ain't broke don't fix it, aye ! )
b. if you're still struggling I know what could be wrong. Your trading personality might not be a good match for trading m1/m5 time frames.
So I present to you a different variation of The Setup Technique. (as explained in the posts above and posts in my journal Immy's Trading)
We shall use H1 and M5 charts. Trading this style requires only 40 min per day. that is 5min top of the hour or only 10 mintues, (5 minute start of trading session. or only 5 min (trading only one session per day)
I shall personally be paying more attention to H1/M5 strategy because I have decided to trade less and be at my computer as less as possible. My account size has reached a size where I'm comfortable with even a 10% growth per month.
but I will trade the m5/m1 on EUR/USD Only around Chaos Influx Points.
Another reason for taking this decision is that I have decided to live 6 months here rest in Slovakia or foothills of Himalayas.
I suggest that you have to assess your personal situations and make a decision based on that. Moreover, I am working of a Daily Trading plan based on similar concept which I will touch upon later. any questions feel free to hit me as hard as possible!
As a final note: So we now have two proper strategies. M5/M1 EUR/USD Strategy. and H1/M5 8 Major Pairs Strategy. we will be adding strategy 3 for Daily/H1/H4 charts in the near future. (wink wink, that strategy will have reversal BDC Pin Bar entries to start campaigns.. haha more on this later)

Re: More Immy's Trick Entry
This is simply a Trade that was spotted based on confluence of 1. not just one but 3 very small h1 candles suggesting a very tight range. That meant 36 m5 candles that were stuck in a tight range. This must create perfect trading range a great opportunity for "Trading Breakouts". The entry coincided with H1 AIMS Level too. The look/picture of h1 was not that of the HP Setup where H1 gator is trending nicely. But there were reasons, enough reasons for me to try the shot. Eg.. Look at the BDC that formed overnight on the H1 chart. and the subsequent price drop. Plus, a look at daily was suggesting that prices have gone enough to the upside and downside correction or reversal may be on the table. so far so so good.immy wrote:immy wrote:Here is one we took on GU this am.

Re: Higher Time Frames
Still testing the concept further. I was not sure so I took .1 lot trades to see how it goes and how I will or should be managing these h1 trades in future. Learn Learn Learn and some more... is what I hear....

Re: Higher Time Frames
Some H1 trades. There was a UJ and EJ loss on Longs. (should have gone long on both but hey hoo)
The I caught Classic Long on GU, BDC Long on EU (it was just telling me it wants to go up). then seed entry which was also aggressive break of AIMS level above red line on EU and a Classic Setup on EG. There is a swissy short that is a PB on Dailies, will manage on dailies. The UJ and EJ shorts were inspired from News Trades, takien on m1 and converted to slightly higher time frames for now...

Re: Higher Time Frames
Hi Immy,
sorry but I am confuse,
second picture, why SEED long, when trend is down? Because BDC reversal?

Re: Higher Time Frames
EU Shows a good drop on the dailies, and that drop on h1 shows 5 waves completed. I saw a BDC which appears towards the end of a trend most often. eWaves showing wave 5 and divergence. AIMS boxes created 1-2 up formation, higher low higher than yesterday's low. i thought it was time for a quick trade for correction up. It is therefore I trailed candles and got stopped out both of the positions.mirgi wrote:Hi Immy,

Cable also showing correction on h4 or D1. but I'm not sure if the trend is going to go further down on D1 on Cable so holding to it and hoping it will go up furhter tomorrow. I hope this helps. I have already explained the BDC type entries in my posts earlier but will do more videos and presentation on this. As you can see we are giving AIMS a new direction. It was long before planned that we will gradually move to slower time frames after accounts have grown to considerable levels. cheers good night

Re: Higher Time Frames
Demoing the seeds....there are quite many but not all of those result to a trade. This one did however.
W5 ending....also a new seed produced. A good place for setting SL above the new seed. Mind is producing a lot of stuff that all result to closing the trade. EA handles it to the end. SL on BE at the moment.
I haven't implemented yet Immy's "close half on 1:1" trade management to the EA. It's in the todo list.
